Last month, I posted a photo of Jacob's Ladder (a gruelling climb) and I said that I would subsequently post the view from the top. Here it is - sorry it's so late.

Edited to add: this is the city of Perth, Western Australia.

Great shame Aaron, far too soon.

I think whoever designed Bracknell was a fan of America. There aren't many other places I know over here so modern and daring.

So sorry to hear of Tauriel, Howie.

This reminded me of the ruins at Athens but it was taken in Hampi.

Asda by the new Wembley Stadium. Of course I did manage to get photos of the old one from the same spot as we had a few year's notice before it was razed to the ground.

I really need to start posting here on a more regular basis.
Anyway, I took some smoke photos last week and thought I'd share the best one.

I even wrote a quiz on how to take photos like these [link removed]

The Jama Masjid found in the old part of Delhi was constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and is the largest mosque in India. It can accommodate up to 25,000 people offering namaaz at the same time.

Thank you!
I hadn't known about that thread. Though, this photo wasn't really edited much. I just made it black and white, added a bit of contrast, and sharpened it a tad.

I liked the light in this one combined with the neon signs on the building, more from Bracknell.

Precious begged me to take her out today, even though she had seen the snow from the window. This was her reaction after a very few moments. You can imagine what she was saying!

Firecracker vine has crept its way up into the Mango Tree! The flowers are too early to bring us CNY luck but they are lovely anyway .

A little bit of history. If I'm correct these signs were changed to a circle with no cycling inside around 1949 when the signs had a facelift nationally. There are plenty still around, but till yesterday the only one with a red circle on it was in Somerset, all the others had gone away. I spent a few days searching every likely spot online around 20 miles of here and quickly found this the other side of London in Erith. The solid red prohibition circle is the rarest in Britain, being abolished in 1964 and being removed very swiftly afterwards unlike most of the others. I now have two with them after randomly coming across the prohibited all vehicles sign around the corner from me recently.
