Had some friends with some minor damage to their house but it's been good to hear that there haven't been any deaths or major injuries in either cyclone.
How amazing that two hit Australia within hours of each other.

And the best thing about cyclones is that we get to see journalists standing out in the heavy winds and pouring rain telling us that it's a bit wet and windy .. because, you know, they're standing in the middle of a CYCLONE.

Thank you, ren. We're pretty safe down in NSW. It's a fair way away from the lower of the two cyclones, so we just get a lot of rain instead. A LOT of rain.

The Northern Territory really copped the big one though, and parts of Queensland are now starting to clean up the awful mess the second one made.

We had so much rain here that some of the trees in my yard divided in half at the top and drooped right down to the ground. It looked as though they were praying and giving thanks.

Holy cow - I didn't even realise there were a couple of cyclones whirling around up there!
I've been so busy I haven't seen or heard any 'news' for weeks so had no idea. Also making it pretty obvious that Perth is ok and nothing untoward is happening down this way!
