I didn't post on February as it's technically March already now so will count this for Sunday's entry. These photos of central London are now as rare as hen's teeth since they charged to drive in during weekdays, and besides some weekend visits where I've tended to go east as has the through routes, summer evenings provide the only chance to get them which was what I did when I took this in Margaret Street round the back of Oxford Street.

The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah at Agra. It is popularly known as the Baby Taj and is regarded as the inspiration for the more famous Taj Mahal. It marks the transition of Mughal architecture from red sandstone structures to marble buildings with inlay work. Incidentally, Itimad was the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal for whom Shah Jahan built the Taj.

It was wet in Hampshire on Sunday, exactly when I had to get out of the car to take photos of a road sign. I got soaked but it was worth it. This amount fell in about 15 minutes.

My first artwork for a while, these are four places I grew up in, my friend's house in Golders Green, my old station in East Finchley, my grandparent's old house in Highgate and the row of houses another friend lived in Hampstead Garden Suburb.

Meanwhile in the other half of the globe, it's Autumn.
Some months ago, someone gave me some ratty-looking bulbs they had been given by someone else. I put them in a tub of potting mix and forgot about them.
This week, a nice surprise.

They are a Haemanthus (Paint-Brush Lily). I also have the red version, which is just breaking through the soil.

This is a cake I made for my older grandson's 8th birthday. The boys loved the lurid colours, and it actually tasted quite good!

Ohhhh, yum!

Looks like Martin is celebrating my birthday by going to the football laugh wink

Nice drawings, SatG.

I've had my boy home for a mid-term break .. here's all his gear ready to go back. There's so much food stuffed in every corner of those bags you've no idea. It was harder this time putting him on the bus than leaving him there at the start of the year! frown

Happy birthday Jill, I hope I'm just in time.

A typical English village green in Wooburn, Buckinghamshire.

I'll make sure I take some photos while I'm at the match. Might take me a while to blur all the
faces in the crowd though.... wink

As someone brought up the subject of Bristol City, the replacement of the South stand at their
ground is coming along very well and it won't be long before the left and right sections join up.
