mirk - instead of needing your password all the time, why don't you use something that you'll remember?

Lady, it's because my forums password, not my Quizzyland password, was emailed to me, which means it was assigned, probably by Terry and it got deleted from my filing cabinet, something I didn't do.

Sometimes they are assigned, it happened to me. I changed my email address in my profile, then they changed my password and sent it to my new email address. You can change it back afterwards. But, yeah, they are sometimes assigned.

I had that happen when I updated my profile with my new school email address... hehehe! But my email account had been acting up and refusing emails, and it was just my luck that the one with my new password was among those refused!

Fortunately, Gun already knew that I was having troubles with it so it wasn't a huge surprise when I emailed him from Hotmail, totally distraught from being locked out of the Forums (well... from the Editors' Forum and from doing any posting in the Community Forums).

Thank goodness he got it back quickly! My computer lost its cookies and I had the same trouble...but I'd remembered a mnemonic device for it.

Merk, please stop doing this to the threads. Just leave the threads! There's no need to keep asking that they be deleted. The thread is still worthwhile. As mentioned before, threads are deleted at the discretion of the moderators. NOT because people have their answer and are through with the discussion.

It doesn't look to me that he is asking for the thread to be deleted, that would read 'Please could someone delete this thread. Thank you.' At least it would where I come from.

Where I come from too Sue. And I might have added, sorry to have troubled you, I found out what the problem was. But call me old-fashioned.

I was the webmistress of a motorcycle team page for a brief while and had fans writing e-mail in to us, and the only time they ever used all caps, was "WAY TO GO! GREAT!"
and they were writing from all around the world.

Look, I'm sorry to anyone that I offended by posting "delete this topic" in all caps. That just shows the intelligence that I had when I made that post. I certainly have learned my lesson since that very dumb post.
