My sister has just become a member with a different user name and after she's gone on as a member, when i go on and enter to the members bit, it usually cuts straight to hers instead of the passwords screen. Is there anyway of preventing this, or can anyone explain why this happens.

Have her log out before she turns the computer over to you.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, other editors,) but I think this is due to the cookies. Go in and delete them from your computer after your sister is through, and you should be ok.

Linda - all he has to do is click on 'log out' or have her log out. It's actually easier than deleting cookies.

Oh, ok. Actually, you and I were typing at the same time, so I hadn't seen your reply until I had mentioned the cookies.

So, there's the answer! Log out.

Yep. When more than one person uses a single computer, each should definitely log out when leaving the website. Otherwise, the last person's logon account (AND password!) is in use. Deleting cookies will also work, but then you have to log in at every web site you usually visit. That's not so bad, but more complicated. If it's only 2-3 people who trust each other, logging out will suffice.
