I'm putting together a playlist of as I call them "Songs to Run Away From" - that is, songs that are used over and over in a horror movie, and when the characters hear it, something horrible is about to happen. So far, I've only gotten 3 of them to come to mind, and three isn't nearly enough for a decent playlist. So I figured I'd ask my fellow funtrivianites for help!

The songs that have come to mind so far:
-"Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver, Final Destination
-"Turn Around, Look At Me" by The Lettermen, Final Destination 3
-"Jeepers Creepers" by Paul Whiteman, Jeepers Creepers

Any good ideas guys?

Well this sounds a bit lame but there are the violin notes that herald something imminent in Psycho. It would give someone like me a chance of one point in a quiz like that!

I'm not really putting together a quiz, I'm putting together a CD of songs. Therefore, I'm more looking for full songs than lone music cues. Though you are right, there are some expertly used music cues in Psycho, and some of the other older horror movies. Don't worry, I appreciate the classics too.

I try to stay away from horror movies because they scare me! But... isn't that awful "DA-da... DA-da... DA-da DA-da DA-da DA-da!" used every time someone is about to be eaten in 'Jaws'? It seems to me it's used throughout the film.
