I would like to know how to become an editor

I would prefer military matters, and books and things like that! somebody please contact me about this. Thanks!

You've made the first step, which is joining the Forums and expressing your interest.

The usual second thing that we look for is that you've written some good quizzes.

The editors then keep a list of people who've met these criteria, and when a vacancy comes up in the editing roster, we use that list to fill it.

I think the editors are mad at me for submitting so many....they told me that I had to stop sending so many quizzes to one category ...so...?

A lot of quiz creators don't realize just how many quizzes the editors have to look at. Some of the categories can have a queue of quizzes that gets very long. That's why there's a limit as to how many quizzes one person is allowed to submit at one time. Remember that you're not the only person wanting a quiz online! And, to be fair to everyone, we have to make sure that one person isn't trying to get a whole bunch of quizzes on at a time. Just dole them out according to what the editors of that category have said is the cap.

I know that it's hard to keep in mind that there are so many other people trying to put a quiz up! Sometimes, because of the way it looks to us, it seems as if we're the only ones submitting quizzes. But, trust me, some of those editors are working their butts off to get through the huge list of quizzes in the big categories!

I'd like to add something to Linda's post, just to get the idea out.

I've noticed one quizmaker who is very creative, and has at any given time about 20 new quizzes ready to go online! What he does is he creates them any time he wants and saves them without going online, even when they're finished. Then he just waits until his latest submission has gone through the queue all right and submits the next one.

The submission limit doesn't mean you cant create more than one quiz at a time, only that we ask you to let one quiz go online before submitting another one for editor review.

This clever kid has a continuous cache of quizzes (try saying that 3 times fast!) ready and as a result has been getting a new quiz online every couple of days.

So keep the creative juices flowing, everyone!

And I know that there are lots of quizzes. But most of the things I'm interested in (definitely not mainstream stuff), there aren't any quizzes in. So I'm making them my self.

And I want to help being an editor for people like me who submit tons of quizzes
