Hi, Exit, you said it very well to your fellow countryman. And the creation of quizzes is spontaneous, there is no US, British or any country bias in the submission or acceptance of quizzes.
In my own quizzes, I myself try not to be too Americanocentric either, as that would be pretty silly of me, being more of a hybrid than anything else. But it isn't always easy.
One thing for certain is that I truly do not think the bias holds true here in the forums, but I don't believe you've posted very often here.
The people who've posted regularly here for the past months have, beyond a bit of good natured teasing and kidding around, shown amazing kindness towards their fellow English speaking members. If I have no idea what "no tipping" means on a roadside sign in the middle of the countryside in England then where else would I find an answer?
If I would like to know what Ayer's Rock is called in Alice Springs, where else would I go for an answer?
I was in your place at one time, as the press officer for an Australian sportsman and an Italian team and received posts from around the world and the Aussies assumed they were writing to other Aussies, the Italians the same and so on and so forth! The fans writing in assumed I was well aware of this or that in the Aussie sports' world, the British sportswriters were really really hard on me, and the Italians were wonderful but spoke very quickly as I translated simultaneously into English.
Lucky I'd visited your country and had Aussie friends prior to my job?
I think that though you have a point about the number of US sports quizzes, you still may create your own, labelling them specifically Australian, or whatever.
See you around,
Bruyere
