I have played many quizzes that I knew very little about because I like to gather the info from the answers at the end. I do take educated guesses at the answers though.
What I am trying to say really, is that, even if you know nothing of the subject matter, it is pretty difficult to get a zero score. I've never had one yet, a few low scores, but never zero.

Imediately after hitting the post button, I realised what these people are doing. Going to the quiz and then hitting the submit button without answering any questions.
Truely unbelievable what some people will do just to see their name on top of a list

I noticed some of you saying that you hit the Enter key instead of the Tab key??

Are keyboard layouts different in other parts of the world or are they different because of manufacturers layouts??

I only ask this as my Tab key & Enter Key are on opposite sides of the keyboard.

When I initially joined Quizzyland, I had an ISP contract that gave me a small number of hours per month and charged xx cents for each additional minute (I was interested at that time in just getting my e-mail and doing very minimal web surfing). Once I found Q-land and saw how much interesting info was in the "Additional Info" on the answer page in some quizzes, I wanted to read it but I was horrified at my next ISP bill for the additional time. I started going right to the answer page (zero answers), copying the entire page to my word processor, and immediately logging off (so I could read it later and avoid the ISP charge). Since then I've switched to an unlimited hours contract with my ISP.

I have been wondering about the zero scores for quite a while now. I mean some people aren't as knowledgeable as others are in some areas, or are just less educated than most. Also, real trivia buffs seem to retain or acquire a lot of stuff by the very nature of trivia. However, unless we are talking about a very young child, no one should get zero on any quizzes. I guess it is possible, if I were to take a quiz on some sport, I can see myself getting a zero. That would be because it is not my area of interest, so why would I do the quiz in the first place, right?
I do have an explanation to some of the zero scores, since becoming an editor. After checking everything in the quiz, I would then take the quiz while still in the editor's area. Since I was doing it to look for any mistakes I may have missed, I didn't answer any of the questions, so I could get to the answer page quicker to check for errors there. To my horror, I found out that the site still saw it as a player who selected that quiz and played it. I asked Lisa if the 'score' would stay there and she said unfortunately yes. Needless to say, I stopped checking for errors this way immediately!!! It is only logical that if I as a new editor did this, so did others. That would account for some of the zero scores.
So, if anyone sees a zero score from Brainy Blonde, it does not mean my roots were showing or I was having a 'dumb' day!!!!
