I posted a message, can be seen below this one, and I discussed my trouble with an editor. I think that I was deleted for sending this message. Why was I deleted for sending that message? ![[Confused]](images/icons/confused.gif) The last time I check the Constitution still had the First Amendment and it still said I had Freedom of Speech. I will take any replies to this, for or against. to get the whole story read my message below. And if I was deleted and you won't accept me onto the forums I have plenty more addresses.

Freedom of Speech as in your right to expression is not to be interfered with by the government. That is the First amendment, right? And even so, there are exceptions to that rule.
However, if you have been deleted, I still doubt that your First Amendment right has been violated being that posting here is a privilege and there are rules and guidelines that are followed by those who want to exercise that privilege.
To accuse Funtrivia of impeding on your Constitutional right would hold up in court as well as a child who wants to sue a school because they got in trouble for cursing in the building. The school has rules and has the right to enforce them. The same thing here.
Discuss your problem with the editor in question. You say you think you were deleted because of your message, did you ask?
What would talking about having other addresses really accomplish?
Ask the editor, and be civil about it.

Lanni is quite correct, this is a private website and you are a guest - freedom of speech is not applicable here. The Administration makes no pretence that censorship doesn't exist here, it does. All members are required to adhere to certain standards, those that do not like that leave either by choice or are required to leave.

For you to above (or anyone else who thinks the same way), I just put it there for the sake of argument because I know enough about court to know it would not hold up, but it seems as though they just took away my right to post things up in my approval (disapproval in this case) of them. What are the forums for just to post things that you like about the site? They are a forum "a medium of open discussion" according to Webster's Dictionary, so why can't I post what I want and not get deleted?

sue's right - you technically have no rights on this site. We could ban anyone whose name didn't start with a 'K' and STILL be in the right. Also, you weren't banned from the forums. Your account was deleted in Quizzyland. Next time, if you have a pr oblem with the way the site is run, I suggest you email either Gunslinger or Terry. 'Complaining' in the private forum isn't likely to get much accomplished. (BTW - I'm mad at all of you who said that he has no Constitutional right to post here... That's MY line! ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif)

cardnals2, it's not the subject that you posted that got your account deleted, it was the way that you said it - no respect for anyone shown in your posts, you make no attempt to explain without being aggressive, you individualised your post in a very public way - why would you expect to get results from these posts, or rather what result were you expecting from them?
if you were expecting for the issues to have been dealt with, then you should have dealt with them in the proper manner to start off with.
if you were expecting a little bit of respect then you should have given some respect to others.
all in all cardnals2 - you get from FunTrivia what you can be bothered to put in to it - so ask yourself what have you given to FunTrivia...?

Cardnals was not deleted because he posted something here in the forums that should have been a private matter between the administration, he was deleted because he had problems with at least 4 of us editors, and I myself, before he made his choice to post his beef here, had just found a very rude note in response to my correction notices in two categories. If four editors had been answered rudely, frequent corrections not heeded, and each quiz took four times to get passed, then there was a definite problem, and taking it here just precipitated things. Perhaps Cardnals could have excused himself for his rude answers before they became intolerable. We have worked out things with many people here, but frankly I'd just seen one before he decided to pick one of us, to another editor as a result of my correction that was not acceptable. Then he really took the cake with his last message. When someone gets deleted here, it's because they don't follow the rules. That's it. You all know me well enough by now from my participation here to know that I rarely lose my temper, but when I received an arrogant answer to a valid polite correction on my part, "what's wrong with it, I think it's fine quite frankly." and so on and so forth. Well I don't have time to waste here. Then I heard four others say the same thing. Mine was for a fill in the blank that was clearly incorrect! And he didn't even change it! So let's get real here.
Ok ok, I'll calm down. This is a private site, and it's a privilege to participate here that I take seriously. If I didn't like what I was doing here, I wouldn't stay around. I thank all of you who contribute to the place for your positive attitudes. Cardnals is not one of them.
