I want to become an editor for children's literature or for general knowledge. I am a quite experienced quizmaker and I would like a job as an editor. Thank You for your time and please get back to me as soon as you can. Again, Thank You. Sincerely, Rachael (Burstingsmile)

Here are the requirements from Gunslinger's thread a few below this. See if you fit all the requirements and then follow the appropriate links to apply, ok?
Quote:
- NOTE: All editors must be 18 yrs of age or over. FT policy prohibits using minors in any staff capacity.
- Editors must be completely fluent in and have excellent grasp of the English language; both the 'American' version and the so-called 'British' version (as spoken/written/spelled in the UK, Australia/New Zealand and other venues, including the Canadian variants, which are a combination.
- Fluency in English must include knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and sentence structure as well as the proper use and placement of quotation marks, parenthetical phrasing and other such nuances of the language.
- It's an entirely voluntary position and the candidate should plan on editing at least 2-3 hours per week or more, depending upon the needs of the queues awaiting action.
- The successful candidate will have created at least 6 or more (more is better) quizzes which have been accepted and are currently on line.
- You must be forum-registered to be considered, preferably with the same screen name as you use in Quizzyland, although this can be adjusted. Candidates will be screened and selected by the senior editorial staff, including the leading editors in the categories being considered. Those selected will be afforded access to the editing areas of the categories assigned, as well as access to the Editors' and Guidelines Forums. A period of training with an experienced training editor will ensue where the rules and procedures will be explained, as well as the methods and guidelines needed to edit quizzes.
- If you are not selected in the 'first draft' rounds, but not rejected, you would certainly be considered when other openings occur.

Up for more people.
Also, I want to add that not only must you have created at LEAST 4 quizzes, but they should have gone online relatively easily. (For example: If you got a 'last chance' message while submitting your last quiz, you're probably not ready to be an editor just yet.)

Also, we should add that writing to Gun is no longer the correct method to apply for editorship.

For a very short time there was an 'editor application' button on the main screen.....are the applications submitted at that time still in the pipe-line for consideration?

Yes...we've been actively discussing them. We really have more applications than we can use right now- in fairness to the applicants, we are going throuigh these apps and dealing with them rather than encouraging new submissions.

Ah, thought I'd found all the things that had changed and corrected them. Looks like one was missed. Will correct it now.

The joke's pretty much exhausted by now, everyone.
Please allow this thread to remain what it's intended to be - helpful information for those who wish to become editors.
Thank you.

I have a pretty good understanding of English and would love to help make Funtrivia even better, if this is possible!
