Mick Malthouse has just broken the record for coaching in the AFL/VFL, with tonight being his 715th game in charge. He has been coaching for 31 years. Prior to that, he played 174 games for St Kilda and Footscray. He also has three premiership coaching flags and one as a player.
He takes the record of Jock McHale who retired in 1949 after 37 years with Collingwood.
A brilliant career!
