Izzi has done a fantastic quiz on coelacanths.

It's not often that I can say I've learned so much from a quiz in the Animals category!

I put a quiz online the other day from LindaC007 entitled 'Ray Bolger, Oz's Scarecrow'. That quiz is perfection. I highly recommend taking it.

Linda, keep up the excellent work!

I just took Tonythedad's "Baby Names" quiz. I've taken quite a few baby name quizzes, this was the best. It's rated tough, and it was indeed a challenge. Tony always has enjoyable, well written quizzes with good interesting information.

I would like to give some praises to a much deserving quiz. The quiz is The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe Quotes by JuniorTheJaws. It is found in Books For Children, subcategory Narnia, quiz # 45109.Not only is this a well-written, fun quiz on one of my favorite books, but it was also one I could play with my daughter. It brought back such wonderful memories of the story and characters for both of us. If you love Narnia, I know you will enjoy it as much as we did. I also enjoyed izzi's quiz Coelacanths very much, too.All of us enjoy hearing from players who enjoy our quizzes. It really puts a smile on all our faces, doesn't it? It's especially sweet when it comes from players who are themselves fine quizmakers. Thank you Jazz and Anges.

Hello everyone!

I honestly like this thread. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have taken a very cool quiz which was done by DakotaNorth entitled Exotic Cheeses Of The World . DN's quiz is well written and very informative.

And LindaC007 has done it yet again with her quiz about actor Jack Haley, entitled Jack Haley, Oz's Tin Man.

Both Lisa(DN) and LindaC007 are excellent quiz makers. Believe me, anyone who takes either quiz or both will not be disappointed.

Kudos DN and LindaC007, keep up the excellent work ! !

Agnes (JTJ)

(Edited to add: Jazz is there anyway to keep this thread up on top. I think this is a very cool idea and it gives all the quiz makers and players a chance to give praise) Can this be done (keeping this thread on top?))

Just recently played a couple of quizzes on allynellie on advertising. The questions are pitched just right and the interesting info. is brilliant. I now know loads about Victor Kiam.

I agree with JTJ about Linda and Lisa's quizzes, both are excellent authors and really put their own original stamp on a quiz. They truly give of themselves.

This is so cool! I actually loggged-in to praise DakotaNorth's new quiz Exotic Cheese Of The World, too! It was just truly "tasty"---sorry Lisa, terrible pun but wonderful quiz! It takes us all over the world on a cheese sampling tour. The only downside is it made me hungry! But since I'm on a diet, it allowed me to live vicariously, so that's Okay, too! I wish it was possible to mention all the really great quizzes I have enjoyed since I've been on here, but the list would be a mile long. I really appreciate the praises, Agnes and George, (miaowamberg). You both make darn fine quizzes yourself.

this is a nice way of spreading the word about good quizzes. great idea! i just want to say that the quiz 'books never written, but written about' available here:
http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=61411
is a wonderfully inventive and well written quiz, the best of the literature quizzes i've seen by far.

Why thankee kindly bro -- "books never written" is a personal favorite of mine.

I fear that'un is doomed to obscurity, however; most folks can't abide a Google-resistant quiz.

I still remember your own boxing quizzes with pleasure, esp. the Joe Louis one. Informative and fun.

Some excellent new quizzes have come through the queue recently.

Dobrov has created a marvelous quiz on Mozart's opera 'The Magic Flute'...which can be seen... here!

On a related note, Belle-a-Cello has created a quiz on the film Amadeus, which contains lots of interesting tidbits in the additional info areas. Please see it... here!

All Mozart fans should be delighted by these two quizzes...enjoy!

I really liked the quiz How Well Do You Know Joe, by LadyCaitriona, on the Molson Canadian commercials, I just can never get enough of those commercials! Also, anyone have any sports quizzes to give praise to?? No one seems to give enough praise to well-written sports quizzes! Haha. Thanks!

If anyone's still reading this thread... Much admiration to the quiz on the Flat Earth Society, "Copernicus Lied! The Earth Is FLAT!" found at http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=93988 .
It's thoroughly researched, well-written, and hugely informative. It's also, as far as I know, on a unique topic. I would suggest it be made an editor's pick. Anyway, kudos.

Hey! I just took a wonderful quiz by raer. It's called Scarlett O'Hara, Belle of the Ball, # 94803, and it's found in Literature, Margaret Mitchell.

Raer has done an exceelent job bringing to life not only Scarlett, but also captures the essence of Gone With The Wind, too. Anybody who loves the book, and its heorine, will really enjoy this quiz.

I hope everone will try this very fine quiz. Here is raer's quiz:

I know I was privileged to edit it, and Raer did a good job with the subject. I second your recommendation Linda. Go for it all those GWTW fans who read the book.

Hey, Heather!

Have you had a chance to check out monkeycouzin's quizzes? They are all great. I'd like to give everybody the details of his newest one called "The Life and Works of David Niven". It's found in Celebrities, sub-category Film Stars L-R, quiz #95088 (just in case I goof the address). It is wonderful to see quizzes coming on about the lives of classic actors. If you are a fan of David Niven, you will love coz's excellent quiz. If you're not, well, it's time you were, so here is the quiz of our favourite coz (I'm adding the extra "u in his honour). Go here
http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?id=95088

It's great to see great new quizmakers like raer and coz coming on here.

I'm on my way to David Niven, believe it or not, I've got the one book right here on my bookshelf, but I promise on my honor not to peek at the book.
Thanks for pointing it out.

I've only recently realized that I'm not quite so bad at older filmstars as I am at the modern ones. When I do the celebrhymes quizzes it's normally after reading the magazines at the hairdresser!

BenjiSim, ShadowHippie, thanks for the good words.

Lest I seem ungracious, I feel constrained to point out that both Benji and Shadow are great quizmakers themselves (so their praise is significant to me) -- Benji's Aeneid series and Shadow's "Famous Short People" )as examples) both more than repay the effort; I recommend them to anyone.

I really liked a quiz called "The Agony of Defeat" by cag1970. It was an interesting an informative quiz about those on the "losing" end of some famous sporting events.

I had the good fortune of editing and placing this quiz online, Mission Identical by Richicago. This quiz caught my attention mainly because of the quiz introduction.

Here is the link to the Richicago's quiz Mission Identical

Have fun!
