For season 2013-14 szabs didn't sign-in & was replaced by kevinatilusa, which kept the FT-PL at 18 runners over 34 wks. Last year LeoDaVinci and KrivoyRog failed to sign-in and the field was reduced to 16 runners over 30 wks. This year BxBarracuda dropped out, LeoDaVinci returned, KrivoyRog returned after a year away and ElfTwinkle returned after five years .. and we're back to 18 runners over 34 weeks.
We've had a full complement of 20 runners over the entire FAPL season of 38 wks just once, in the 2nd edition of the FT-PL tipping comp back in season 2004-05.
This year we skipped the first round of the FAPL last week and started the FT-PL comp in the 2nd week. Eight of the nine games were a win and there was just the one draw (last year we had 7 wins and just one draw) .. so the top of the FT-PL table in week one is as crowded as last year's week one.
The defending titleholder N-Bomb set an all-time record last year by losing just three games all season. This year he began his defence with a loss.
Last year wwe84 finished last. He spent the summer (our winter) going through all the forum guides and past results. This year he opens his campaign with a thumping 7-1 win .. and finds himself at the top of the table. We'll see if he's a sprinter or a stayer as the weeks go by.

Half of us scored just three goals .. illiniman14 scored 7 and lost! He came up against ElfTwinkle, who picked the lot except for WHU losing at home (no-one picked this) and the draw at Leicester.
The defending titleholder N-Bomb began his defence last week with a loss. He lost again in week two. He set an all-time record last year by losing just three games all season.
After two rounds we have just three players win a 100% win record and three players with a 100% loss record .. another three are undefeated and another three are without a win .. and, to complete the symmetry, the remaining six have one win and one loss.

Howie72 wins again to make it three straight. He's now all alone at the top of the pile with a 100% win record. Dizart, PaulE and LeoDaVinci all drew and contineu their undefeated start to the season.
On the back of consecutive weekly wins, ElfTwinkle climbs up into 4th place. She began the season in the cellar down in 14th place.
No-one has a 100% loss record: srini701 scored his first win and N-Bomb & kevinatilusa both drew their games. Three players are still win-less: gtho4, N-Bomb and kevinatilusa.
The next round is a fortnight away, in mid-September, as we have a break for FIFA sanctioned internationals and World Cup qualifiers.

Howie72 returns to the top of the pile as PaulE lost, which brings to an end his undefeated start to the season. LeoDaVinci also suffered his first loss for the season, which leaves Dizart as the only person still undefeated.

Last week PaulE lost to brings to an end his undefeated start to the season .. ditto LeoDaVinci, which left Dizart as the only person still undefeated. We now have no-one undefeated. Dizart was beaten by kevinatilusa, who won his first game of the season last week (aka he ended his unwanted win-less streak with back-to-back wins).

There were no draws, not one, in the FT-PL .. illiniman14 was the only player in the first five to win. He extends his unbeaten run to six games and he climbs up into to 3rd place, a new high for the season.
Everyone in the bottom five won except for N-Bomb, who fell to 18th; a new low for the season.
Last week Dizart lost to bring to an end his undefeated start to the season. Another loss sees him fall to 7th place, a new low for the season. Other lows for the season: LeoDaVinci (who's now win-less in four) and George95 (consecutives losses).
Back-to-back wins see FussBudget climb up into 10th place (a new high) .. paper_aero lost, which ends his winning streak at four, and ElfTwinkle won, to end her losing streak at four.
New personal highs: illiniman14 & FussBudget.
New lows: Dizart, LeoDaVinci, George95 & N-Bomb.
No-one retained their spot form last week apart from the two joint leaders. For three straight weeks we had four points cover the first five players at the top of the pile. With the first three all losing, this week we're down to 3 points separating the first five. We have one dead-heat: dg_dave and kevinatilusa in 12th place.

Once again there were no draws, not one, in the FT-PL .. the leader paper_aero was the only player in the first 5 from last week to win. He's now 3 pts clear of the pelleton. At the other end, N-Bomb wins to end a run of three straight losses and climbs off the bottom rung on the table.
In four games of the games 4 goals were enough to register a win. Commiserations to the three who scored four .. and lost!
ozzz2002 wins his 4th game on the trot to climb up into 2nd place, a new high for the season. Other highs: Sypher (third straight win) and kevinatilusa (four straight wins). PaulE lost again to make it four back-to-back losses. He falls to 11th and sets a new low for the season .. ditto KrivoyRog (down to 18th), who's now win-less in four.
New highs: ozzz2002, Sypher & kevinatilusa.
New personal lows: PaulE and KrivoyRog.
No-one retained their spot from last week apart from the leader. Behind paper_aero the pelleton has 10 players, separated by 3 pts .. and the remaining six players are also separated by 3 pts. We have one dead-heat: dg_dave and LeoDaVinci in 8th place.

For two straight rounds there were no draws in the FT-PL .. this week we had three draws. No-one in the first five from last week won, which reduces the margin from paper_aero to the rest of us from 3 pts to 2pts.
Seven players scored 7 goals each and five of them won. George95 and ElfTwinkle played out a 7-7 draw, which was ElfTwinkle's first draw for the season. Although ozzz2002 was held to a 6-6 draw he retains 2nd place (this ended his streak at four wins) .. kevinatilusa lost, which also ended his streak at four wins.
PaulE won, which ended his run of four straight losses. KrivoyRog is now win-less in five.
New personal high: no-one

For the third time in five rounds we had no draws no draws in the FT-PL .. 1st v 4th paper_aero v PaulE finished 4-5 and paper_aero falls back to 4th place and off the podium.
ozzz2002 replaces paper_aero at the top of the pile. He won again to make it 6 wins in 8 games .. 8 weeks ago he was 3rd last after three straight losses, 9 pts behind the leader!
The first three are separated by a single point and the peleton has eight players separated by a mere 3 pts. This explains this week's musical chairs .. no-one kept their spot from the previous round, apart from the tail-ender, who is slowly drifting away.

As three of last week's top five lost, we had a another huge game of musical chairs. LeoDaVinci was the only person who kept his or her spot form last week apart from KrivoyRog, who has an iron grip on last place.
ozzz2002 lost, which sees his undefeated run end at eight games. He slips back from 1st to 3rd. PaulE won his 4th straight game and returns to the top of the pile, which is where he was 9 weeks ago.
Three pts cover the five players running 2nd to 6th .. and another 3 pts cover the next 8 players; running 7th to 14th.
Howie72, win-less in six, put eight past George95 to win 8-4, but it wasn't the biggest win. FussBudget thumped ozzz2002, last week's leader, with a score of 6-1.
N-Bomb lost, ending his winning streak at four straight wins, and wwe84 lost after three straight wins .. gtho4 is now win-less in five and illiniman14 is win-less in four.
