| In a week that didn’t afford for much separation, PaulE made the most of it as he shared a weekly win with srini701 and LeoDaVinci missed his picks, earning him the equivalent of a spoon. PaulE has no extended his lead out to 4, the most anyone has ever had this year across 12 weeks. This was a poor week across the board for all of us. The weekly win was 5 correct picks, while the spoon was only 3. Still, Dizart keeps his spoonless streak alive by nabbing 4 correct. The biggest movers this week were illiniman14 and FussBudget who went down 2 spots as well as srini701 who moved up 2 spots. Yet another Chelsea loss moves them to 16th on the table as Norwich wins and moves up. Luckily, they are no closer to the relegation zone as Bournemouth also lost, so they keep their 3-point cushion. Manchester City and Arsenal both drew, albeit to very different competition, and now only have a 1-point lead over a victorious Leicester. |

| PaulE has now extended his lead out to 6, but he has a whole pack behind him with just under 2/3 of the season to go. Four tippers behind him are tied at 6 points back, with another 5 tippers within 3 points of them. The entire field from 2-14 are within 6 points of each other. Sypher picks up the win this week, being the only tipper to get more than half of the matches played. With that he moves to a new high on the year in 11th, his previous best being 14th. ElfTwinkle’s spoon at 1 point cost both her and LeoDaVinci dearly, as he misses another week. Leo now slips from 2nd to 8th, while ElfTwinkle goes from 3rd to 10th. Other players with new highs include N-Bomb and paper_aero, who moved from 6th and 3rd, respectively, to the group in 2nd. Chelsea beat Norwich, shooting them all the way up to 15th in the table behind Swansea on goal differential. But the big news of the week has to be Leicester City, now on top of the table after a road win, coupled with a Manchester City home loss and an Arsenal away loss. |

| PaulE’s lead dwindles slightly as paper_aero has a strong week and moves out of the big pack that made up 2nd place last week. However, the big news of the week was Howie72, who stormed out of 15th place into 8th by hitting 8 picks, while only 3 other tippers got over half. ozzz2002 and dg_dave at the back of the pack don’t help their position with a spoon this week. It was another weird week, as half of the matches ended in a draw. That includes the big matchups of Leicester City-Manchester United and Tottenham-Chelsea. The ratio of home teams winning as compared to draw/road wins remains very low. Manchester City takes over 1st place once more on goal differential as they beat Southampton while Leicester drew. The top of the table is comprised of all the names you’d expect, except that Chelsea is replaced by Leicester. Despite a strong performance in the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea is still closer to being relegated as compared to getting another berth in the Champions League next year. |

| It was a rough week for all of us, as FussBudget got the weekly win by hitting only half of the matches – which meant getting every match correct that more than 1 person got correct. On the other side, paper_aero only hit 1 – the match every one of us got right – and got the spoon in the process. If not for ElfTwinkle picking the draw for Manchester United and West Ham, we would have had nobody get half of the matches correct this week. PaulE maintains gets his 6-point lead back from 2 weeks ago, and the group behind him swells to 4 tippers tied for 2nd place. In fact, 6 points separate PaulE from 2nd place, and the next 6 points separates every other active tipper in the comp. Chelsea stinks, Leicester is rolling, Manchester City was shocked, and Aston Villa got 1/6 of their points for the entire year this week alone. |

| PaulE’s lead has been bouncing from 4 to 6 and back again for the last five weeks, and it again narrows to 4 as he loses a couple points to illiniman14, who breaks out of the 4-person tie that was second place last week. FussBudget takes the win in consecutive weeks, going up from 15th to 9th in only 2 rounds, and is now only 3 points out of 3rd. ozzz2002 takes home a spoon, but is in no danger of losing ground to a dormant KrivoyRog. Everybody picked Tottenham to win at home, which resulted in 0 points between us; but everybody also picked Arsenal to win on the road, giving us all 1 point. FussBudget was the only one bold enough to take Bournemouth in their win over Manchester United, while ElfTwinkle in her expected style was the only one to predict a draw between Liverpool and West Brom. With their win, Leicester City makes it official that they are (as of now) the team to beat in the Premier League, as they take over the top spot, 2 points clear of Arsenal. Crystal Palace is only behind Tottenham on goal differential for a Europa League berth next year. And, of course, the sad state of Chelsea continues as they stand a single point from the relegation zone. |

| PaulE’s lead remains at 4 but the group behind him grows to 3 tippers. That group includes Sypher, who was dead last in week 7, but since then has dominated the field with 52 points, with FussBudget coming in 2nd over that time frame with 46. His steady climb up from last to 2nd has proven to be an impressive feat, and he puts a cherry on top at the moment with another weekly win. ElfTwinkle felt the sting of a Golden Spoon this week, choosing another draw-heavy card except for 2 matches, which were the only 2 matches to actually end in a draw. No matter what happens next week, Leicester and Arsenal will occupy the top 2 spots in the table in either order thanks to both winning this week. Manchester United fell, and in the process got Norwich out of the relegation zone, but in the process left us all without a point. Surprising news this week as Chelsea won a match – but even with their struggles, 14/16 tippers held the line and picked them to walk away victorious at home. The next 3 games the highest number of people picked (14 picked Man U to win, 14 picked Newcastle to win, and 13 picked Liverpool to win) all failed to materialize for the majority. |

| ozzz2002 took advantage of a good week for home teams, as he hit 7 of the 9 matches that at least one person got correct and took home the win for his effort. On the opposite side, illiniman14 dropped out of the group tied for second and now joins the larger group tied for fourth as he picks up the spoon. PaulE’s lead dwindles down to 3 as he had a poor week, but nobody right behind him did well enough to make a more serious dent. Several matches were only picked by a few tippers. Eleven of us mistakenly put our faith in Chelsea to beat Watford, but they naturally drew and gave the other four a point. Then the table leaders Leicester lost on the road and another 4 tippers gained a point. Three were even bold enough to take Stoke City at home to beat Manchester United, which they promptly did. The top of the table remains the same as both Leicester City and Arsenal lost, but Manchester City made up some ground with their victory. There was a shakeup behind them as Man U lost, Tottenham won to move into fourth, and Crystal Palace drew to enter fifth. Meanwhile, Swansea jumps out of the relegation zone and an unlucky Newcastle takes their place after giving up a goal in stoppage time. Chelsea remains 2 points out of relegation (plus some goal differential). KrivoyRog’s score will be kept current if he decides to return, however it will no longer be noted on these results until that happens. |

| PaulE picks up a spoon and his lead is down to just 2, having led for 15 consecutive weeks now. Sypher is now directly challenging him, with the enormous group now all sitting in 3rd place and 3 points back. PaulE was joined at the table with spoons from wwe84 and srini701 as well. dg_dave picked up the weekly win, and despite being in 15th is still well in contention, as he is only 6 back from bronze and 9 back from gold. With half of the season down, there is very little to separate the entire field. The marquee matchups of the round ended up in pedestrian draws. Man U-Chelsea and Leicester-Man City both played scoreless, leaving many a yawn behind. Meanwhile, Stoke City and Everton went back and forth until Stoke converted a penalty in injury time to win 4-3. Not much new to update about the table: Arsenal and Leicester City sit at the top; Manchester United and Liverpool both remain outside of the top 5; and Chelsea stays 3 points clear of the relegation zone. |

Most of us were confident that Leicester, sitting near the top of the table, would take care of Bournemouth, clinging on near the relegation zone, but they ended up drawing – which only ElfTwinkle predicted. West Ham United also held serve at home against Liverpool, something only called by srini701 and dg_dave. Everybody hit Arsenal’s victory over Newcastle, and the other matches had a fair spread. With their victory and Leicester’s draw, Arsenal is clear in the top spot by 2 points. Manchester City closes their gap to 2nd with a couple late goals, earning a victory and keeping pace with Arsenal. Manchester United is into the Europa League spot, while West Ham jumps over both Liverpool and Crystal Palace to go into 6th. With their win, Chelsea is well clear of relegation. |

| Another week goes by, and PaulE remains in the lead with a mass of tippers behind him. ozzz2002 took advantage of an otherwise low-scoring week by hitting half of the matches, and jumped from 13th to 10th, now only 3 points out of 3rd place. LeoDaVinci feels the brunt of a tough week by picking up the spoon. Several points were lost on a very late goal in Newcastle, as Manchester United had to settle for a draw. Other games were decided on strong second halves, with West Ham and Sunderland both scoring 3 goals in the last 45 minutes after being behind at halftime. With Tottenham’s loss, the top 3 are beginning to show signs of pulling away from the field. The next 5 points encompass the next 6 teams, from Tottenham down to Liverpool. On the other end, Aston Villa won its first match since the first week of the season, and gets to celebrate by being 8 points separated from being outside the relegation zone. |

| If you need any more proof of how tightly packed the field is, just look at the rise of ozzz2002. Two weeks ago he was way back in 13th place, and now he is tied for 3rd after two weekly wins. Now he sits only 4 points out of first place, still occupied by PaulE by 2 over second place. Sypher and srini701 both earned a wooden spoon, but as we have seen the past couple weeks, neither are anywhere near being out of the competition. While dg_dave was bold enough to predict an Aston Villa victory over Leicester, the only tipper to not predict a Leicester win, he ended up meeting the same fate as everyone else when the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Everyone notched the Manchester City and Tottenham victories, while nearly everyone got the Southampton win. Arsenal and Leicester draws allowed Manchester City to pull within a point with their victory. Those three squads are still 4 points clear of the rest of the field. Tottenham has taken their place in 4th and Manchester United is now in 5th while a pesky West Ham suffered a defeat. With their victory, Newcastle is slowly getting closer to leaving the relegation zone. |

| For the first time in 14 rounds, PaulE’s lead is down to 1 point as illiniman14 crawls closer. Those two are separated by 3 points from the rest of the field, which is only separated by 5 points from 3rd to 13th. dg_dave tries to make a run like ozzz2002 the last 2 weeks, going from 13th to 8th this week with a HoF performance, while the latter follows up his back-to-back wins with a spoon this week. Two matches shocked our field this week. Chelsea, despite looking dead for most of the season, came out and beat Arsenal on the road 1-0. Southampton did the same to Manchester United. dg_dave earned his HoF by being the only one bold enough to pick Swansea on the road to win at Everton, which they did by the tune of 2-1. With their victory and Arsenal’s loss, Leicester City takes over the top spot again by 3 points, while Arsenal and Manchester City are only separated on goal difference. Tottenham’s win puts them within a win of second place, and Manchester United is 5 points out of 4th. With their amazing win in the final minute of play, Liverpool stays within striking distance of 5th while Norwich comes closer to relegation back to the ECL. |

| Ever since it peaked at 6 in week 15, PaulE’s lead has been dwindling down to the point now where he is tied atop the leaderboard for the first time in 14 weeks. At that point, it was wwe84 on top with him, who has since fell to 13th. In his stead, illiniman14 now joins PaulE after the latter earned a spoon (along with several others after they all got half of the matches correct – the highest spoon this year). This week’s winners are George95 and ElfTwinkle, who both put up 7 correct picks, while the other 8 active tippers managed to all get 6 right and avoid any honors this week. ozzz2002 and dg_dave were the rebels this week, both choosing games solo as well as 2 matches where they were the only tippers to go against the matches. ozzz2002 went on his own and paid the price by taking Sunderland to beat Manchester United, while dg_dave thought Aston Villa might pull out a draw against West Ham. Both were able to snag a point for Bournemouth’s victory, but then gave it right back by not choosing Everton to win on Wednesday. An impressive win won by impressive goals keeps Leicester City ahead of the field by 3, but Manchester City kept pace with a victory of their own. The top 4 are separated by 5 points from the rest of the field, as can be said about 6th-place West Ham. The bottom of the table looks to be a 4 or 5-team battle, although Bournemouth could slip into it with a couple bad matches. |

| After 20 weeks on top of the leaderboard, PaulE has been replaced by illiniman14 as the latter was able to hit on both matches that the two disagreed on following their tie at the top last week. ozzz2002 continues his monumental rise up the board with another weekly win (tied with Dizart, who keeps the spoonless streak alive) and is now alone in 3rd place. Howie72 gets a spoon but still only sits 5 out of a podium spot. dg_dave continues to impress with solo picks, and if this comp awarded bonus points he would certainly be higher on the leaderboard. He was the only one of us to correctly pick a Liverpool-Sunderland draw. ozzz2002 and wwe84 were the only ones to pick the team on top of the table, as Leicester City beat Manchester City. With that victory, Leicester City moves up to 5 points away from the rest of the field. Manchester City moves back into 4th with victories from Tottenham (now in 2nd) and Arsenal (now in 3rd). The 4-way battle for the relegation zone got a little more interesting with an Aston Villa victory over Norwich, and Newcastle moved out of the bottom 3 with their win. |

dg_dave continues to impress with solo picks, and if this comp awarded bonus points he would certainly be higher on the leaderboard. Doing some figuring, if we went one of two, I'd have 13 bonus points, good enough for 4 above the leader currently...but alas, it wasn't meant to be...lol.

| For the first time all season, PaulE falls out of the top 2 as ozzz2002 picks up another weekly win on his skyrocket to the top, making 4 in 6 weeks. illiniman14 keeps a 2-point lead, but how long will it last if ozzz’s run continues? Six tippers pick up spoons this week as 6 away teams won their matches. dg_dave continues his unrewarded solo picks by being the only one of us to pick West Brom to take down Everton, which they did 1-0. As he mentions above, he would be doing much better if we included solo pick bonuses here, but he would still be second to ozzz2002 (after some quick figuring), who also picks up a solo pick by taking Sunderland in their 2-1 victory over Manchester United. Leicester City had a chance to fully separate themselves from the table, but it wasn’t meant to be, as Arsenal beats them 2-1 and draws within 2 points of the leaders. Tottenham, with their victory over Manchester City on the road are now in 2nd with a +27 goal differential, by far the most in the league. Meanwhile, a West Ham draw and Southampton win brings both teams within 1 point of Manchester United in 5th. |

| Unsurprisingly, ozzz2002 cut into illiniman14’s lead, but it wasn’t necessarily due to the former’s continuance of his hot streak; rather, the leader picked up a spoon and the top 3 are now within a point of each other. LeoDaVinci hit 7 picks en route to a win this week, which is nothing to sneeze at in a full week, but with two games postponed, it means he only missed 1 match this week. The leader was matched in his spoon performance with the only 2 tippers who hadn’t picked one up previously this season in George95 and gtho4. Everybody picked 3 matches – Leicester, Tottenham, and West Ham – a sharp contrast to the main 6 teams that had previously owned the vast majority of unanimous picks (of which Tottenham is a part). LeoDaVinci earned his weekly win on the back of being the only one of us bold enough to pick Arsenal to lose on the road at Manchester United. With their victories, Leicester and Tottenham are solidly in the first 2 spots in the table, while Arsenal is safe in 3rd. Chelsea is now within a point of entering the top half of the table, and is 8 points from a Europa League berth with 11 matches left and 6 teams to pass (including Manchester United). The fight for relegation for Norwich may come down to their postponed match with Manchester City, as they only lead on goal difference over Newcastle. |

| Thanks to subpar weeks from his closest competitors, illiniman14 pulls out to a 3-point lead, the largest solo lead in his 5-week run at the top. One of those near him was ozzz2002, who picks up his 6th spoon of the season but remains in 3rd place; and he was tied this week with ElfTwinkle, who picks up her 7th spoon. Howie72 and wwe84 made the most of some surprising results by hitting all 7 matches that at least 2 people picked correctly. Howie moved up from 10th to 5th this week, and stands only 3 away from a podium spot now. Unsurprisingly, everyone picked Arsenal to beat Swansea at home, but surprisingly Swansea ended up the victor on Wednesday, giving no points in that match. wwe84 was bold enough to pick the table leaders Leicester to draw against West Brom, which they did. illiniman14 was the only one of us to pick West Ham at home to defeat Tottenham, which they did as well. The match that propelled Howie72 and wwe84 to their weekly win performances was their picks of Liverpool to win at home over Manchester City, which they did resoundingly 3-0. Leicester City’s draw on Tuesday set them up to lose their lead, but it ended up being an acceptable result as the next 3 teams on the table lost on Wednesday. Tottenham fell to West Ham, Arsenal lost to Swansea, and Manchester City lost to Liverpool. Manchester United took advantage with a win and is now only behind Manchester City for 4th on goal differential (6 goals). West Ham is also stalking the top 5, only a point behind as they hope to join Leicester as outsiders taking advantage of subpar years from Liverpool and Chelsea. |

| After taking a short 2-week break from his stampede up the table, ozzz2002 is back on the grind, picking up another weekly win and coming within a point of the lead. In week 17, he was in 16th place, and is very close to completely traversing the table. On the other end of the spectrum was FussBudget, who falls back into 11th. ozzz2002 was fueled by two picks which normally would be given solo bonuses – West Brom’s victory and Bournemouth’s win on the road, which he shared with George95. ElfTwinkle also earned a solo correct pick with Chelsea and Stoke’s draw; while wwe84 also was the only person to pick a draw between Southampton and Stoke. Leicester City now draws away from the field to the tune of 5 points, as Tottenham and Arsenal (#2 and #3) draw. Manchester City unsurprisingly crushed Aston Villa to come within 2 of Arsenal, and West Ham kept pace with their surprise comeback victory over a shorthanded Everton, and is now in 5th. Manchester United, also shorthanded, shared the fate of Everton and lost, falling out of the top 5. Meanwhile, Norwich fell into the relegation zone with their loss and a Sunderland draw. |

| It was an abbreviated week as the FA Cup cut out half of the week’s matchups. However, it wasn’t enough to keep the leaderboard as it was, because to nobody’s surprise ozzz2002 has now gone from dead last (week 7) to tied for first. This current run started in week 17, and over the past 14 weeks he has made up 9 points on illiniman14, who he is now tied with, and 13 points total on the top spot (then PaulE). With 8 weeks left, there are 13 tippers within 10 points of the lead – can anyone else make a similar run in the meantime? N-Bomb and wwe84 joined ozzz2002 in the weekly win. N-Bomb moves to within 1 of a podium spot, and if he passes PaulE, it would be the first time this year the latter moves outside of the top 3. George95 and Sypher shared a spoon, as they were 2 of the 3 to miss Bournemouth’s win over Swansea (the third, ElfTwinkle, made up for the miss by being 1 of 2 to pick a draw between Norwich and Manchester City to avoid a spoon). It’s hard to take too much from a half week, but victories by Leicester and Tottenham put them clearly at the top of the table, while Arsenal needs to make up their match with West Brom. Manchester City did themselves no favors by drawing with Norwich, missing a chance to pass Arsenal into 3rd until their match is made up. Meanwhile, Norwich moved into a tie with Sunderland in the battle to avoid relegation, with Norwich only behind on goal difference but Sunderland has a match to make up with Everton. |

| In the least surprising update of this year, ozzz2002 moves well into solo first place with yet another weekly win performance. At the rate he’s climbed the table this year, and with 7 weeks left, I believe he’s on pace to go past first place and finish around negative third by the time this run is over. illiniman14 is somewhat comfortably in 2nd place by 3 points and PaulE has a 2-point lead for 3rd, but the next 11 tippers are all in a pack separated by 5 points, and all the tail-enders would have to do is make up 1 point per week to end up in the podium. Four tippers earned a spoon this week. Three matches were picked solo, two of which were done by ozzz2002. The rest of the field was split on whether to take a draw or just Liverpool outright, but he correctly took Southampton. Additionally, he boldly took Norwich to win outright over West Brom, which they surprisingly did considering where they are on the table. LeoDaVinci stayed loyal and chose Manchester United, and they repaid him with a victory. ElfTwinkle tried to join the solo picks with a draw between Tottenham and Bournemouth, but a goal in the first minute was all they needed, although Tottenham would grab 2 more goals later on. Leicester keeps their foot on the gas with another victory, remaining 5 points clear of Tottenham in second. Arsenal also keeps pace, 6 points back from 2nd and a match down. Manchester City’s loss does them no favors, as now they, West Ham, and Manchester United are in a 3-team fight for 4th with City a 1-point advantage on the other two. Norwich’s win pulls them out of the relegation zone, but they are a match up on Sunderland and Newcastle, who will have a chance to make up the 2 and 3 points (respectively) they are down. |

| Nothing changes between the top 2 this week, but PaulE picks up a spoon and falls back 5 points of 2nd, so barring a huge collapse or comeback the top 2 will comprise those 2 spots at season’s end. Meanwhile, there are 8 tippers within 3 points of 3rd with 6 weeks left in the season, so a podium spot is open to most of the field.The only game the entire field was able to predict this week was Leicester’s home win over Southampton. We came close on Arsenal’s home win and Chelsea’s road win, but ElfTwinkle and wwe84, respectively, picked draws in those matches. Howie72 had the only solo pick this week, nothing the draw between Stoke and Swansea.They’ve already started etching in “Leicester City” on the trophy. They are now 7 points clear of the field following their victory and Tottenham’s draw with Liverpool. In order to guarantee a title, they require 12 points over the last 6 matches, which does include matches against Manchester United and Chelsea – but then that assumes Tottenham wins out, and they also have to play Man U and Chelsea. | In a surprising twist, ozzz2002 actually took a step back this week with a spoon, and illiniman14 pounced on the opportunity with a weekly win, putting him back atop the board. PaulE missed a spoon by a point, but the 3 tippers behind him all also got wins this week and for the first time all year, PaulE drops out of a podium position and into a tie for 5th, 2 points behind N-Bomb in 3rd. The shock of the week was Swansea’s victory over Chelsea, who simply nobody saw coming. However, everyone correctly picked Leicester’s victory over Sunderland. ElfTwinkle went for a solo pick with a draw between Manchester City and West Brom, but City was victorious 2-1, and wwe84 also went for a solo draw pick between Southampton and Newcastle, but Southampton came away a 3-1 victor.With their victory, Leicester was temporarily 10 points clear of the field, but was matched in their victory by Tottenham. However, Leicester still remains 7 points out with only 5 matches left and they are guaranteed a top-4 finish, and Tottenham is past their Manchester United test. For their part, United is 4 points back of 4th place, with West Ham right on their tails. Norwich remains 4 points clear of relegation, while Aston Villa must win out, make up a 19-goal differential, and have Norwich lose every remaining game to avoid relegation themselves. |

| illiniman14 takes advantage of ozzz2002 taking off this week, as he picks up a weekly win and moves out to 4 points clear of 2nd place with 4 weeks to go. N-Bomb also takes advantage by moving to within 3 points of 2nd place. Howie72 and ElfTwinkle both gets spoons, and the latter moves down to 6th place and 3 points off of a podium spot.Everybody took Arsenal to win at home against Crystal Palace, but a goal in the last 10 minutes made it even at 1-1 where it would end. Manchester United took all 15 tippers’ picks as well, but hung on to their 1 goal lead over Aston Villa, sending them into relegation officially. gtho4 was the only tipper to take Sunderland in their victory, while FussBudget took home the point from Watford’s win alone.Leicester City went up early on West Ham after a James Vardy goal, but then things got a little weird. Vardy was sent off for diving later on, a referee’s decision which has caused some disagreement. West Ham scored twice in 2 minutes, but a late Leicester penalty drew it back to even. Vardy could face suspension for the next 2 matches for his antics after the penalty. Tottenham jumped on the chance to gain points by throttling Stoke on the road 4-0, and they are now only 5 points back with 4 matches left. The fight for third took an interesting twist, with Manchester City dismantling Chelsea on the road while Arsenal was held to a tie, drawing them even while City holds a better goal differential. The fight for the next 2 relegation spots is between 3 teams, with Norwich having a narrow edge of 1 point over Sunderland and 3 over Newcastle, but both of the latter teams have an extra match to play to make up those points. |
