| With 3 weeks left, illiniman14 earns his largest lead of the comp, ahead of ozzz2002 by 5 points now. Nothing is set, however, because in weeks 29-31, ozzz2002 made up 6 points, so precedent has been set for a comeback. The battle for 3rd appears to be between 5 tippers, with N-Bomb in the lead at the moment, 1 point up on PaulE, while 3 others sit 3 points back.Three matches were not available this week due to the FA Cup. Of the other 7, we all missed Tottenham’s draw with West Brom, but we all nailed Leicester City’s victory over Swansea. ozzz2002 and wwe84 were the only tippers to pick the Liverpool-Newcastle draw.With 3 weeks left in the season, it’s all but sewn up for Leicester City. Their win this weekend coupled with Tottenham’s draw means they are 7 points up with 3 matches left, and only 1 win away from clinching a championship. However, two of those matches are against Manchester United (without Vardy) and Chelsea, both on the road. They do host Everton between those two games.The top 4 are all but decided. Tottenham will likely finish 2nd, while Manchester City and Arsenal will duke it out for 3rd. City has a significant goal differential advantage, but Arsenal has 2 games it should be a massive favorite in while City has two road games left. The third game has City hosting Arsenal. However, in the meantime City still has to take on Real Madrid, meaning they have 3 likely must-win matches within a week of each other, while Arsenal only has 2.Manchester United has a slight advantage for 5th and another Europa League spot, but they aren’t out of the race for 4th, as they have a game in hand but are 5 points back. They will have to fend off West Ham, who hosts Man U in the penultimate week.At the bottom of the table, Sunderland and Norwich are a point up and have a game in hand on Newcastle, and Sunderland has is 7 goals up on Norwich. While Sunderland must host Chelsea in their last 4 matches, Norwich must host Man U and go to Arsenal, so they have a much tougher path to avoid relegation. |

| The penultimate week saw the 3 in the lead all take spoons. While the leader only suffered a 1-point hit to a now-insurmountable lead, ozzz2002 drops back to a tie for 3rd and N-Bomb is now in a tie for 5th, 1 point out of the podium. PaulE moves up to 2nd place and Dizart, with a weekly win, now peaks out at 3rd. srini701 also earned some hardware, picking up a spoon as well.It was a rough week for the most part. There were no matches that everyone got correct, and two that everyone whiffed on – Southampton’s victory on the road over Tottenham and Swansea’s victory on the road over West Ham.Leicester is our champion and Tottenham has guaranteed themselves a spot in the Champions League, but much else is still up in the air at the top. Arsenal is in the Champions League next year with a point in the final week or if Manchester City fails to win, as City has a 5-goal advantage on Arsenal. Man United may still sneak into a qualifying spot, but can only get by City if City loses and United wins. West Ham is currently in Europa League qualifying, but could drop out with a loss or draw and a Southampton win. On the tail end, Newcastle, Norwich, and Aston Villa all have their fates sealed. |

3. ozzz2002 | The final week brought us some clarity to the podium, with no tiebreakers needed. illiniman14 virtually couldn’t be caught for the gold, and he held on for a 5-point victory. Longtime early season leader PaulE caught fire the last 2 weeks and finished back up in 2nd place, finishing just over ozzz2002, whose spectacular run from last to 1st put him in contention right to the last. Congrats to the podium finishers! This is illiniman14’s first FAPL title, having finished 3rd last year and 2nd the year before. PaulE finished first 3 years ago and 3rd last year, and has actually finished on the podium 6 of the last 9 years! ozzz2002 is making his debut appearance on the FAPL podium!The final standings were a result of picking unique games on a week that gave us some unique results. PaulE was able to fend off the field for 2nd by tipping a draw between West Brom and Liverpool, matching almost everyone else near him on the other 4 he got correct. ozzz2002 got those same 4 matches correct, and also took a draw between Swansea and Manchester City, which put him over the top. Dizart, who finished fourth, earned a point with the Chelsea-Leicester draw, but lost an opportunity to tie for third by not taking Everton at home, and the tiebreaker would’ve earned Dizart third place.The Manchester United-Bournemouth game was called off for security reasons, and the match was rescheduled for Tuesday. Manchester United's victory gives srini701 the weekly win alone and moves up to tie George95 for 10th with FussBudget.The Top Tipper and Award Hogger trophies both go to ozzz2002 this year, as he amassed 9 Hall of Fame performances with a total of 17 wins or spoons this year. ozzz2002 will share the Top Spooner award with ElfTwinkle, as both added to their personal cutlery with 8 spoons this year.The Fence-Sitter award will be shared three ways, with illiniman14, N-Bomb, and FussBudget all earning 4 Hall of Fame performances with 4 wooden spoons.With that (with 1 update of the final match notwithstanding) the season ends, and we look forward to resuming the competition in a few short months.
