We went on an Easter cruise last April with some friends. We didn't go anywhere - the ship left Fremantle on Good Friday, did a big loop in the Indian Ocean, and came back to Fremantle on Easter Monday. The cruise was a comedy cruise so we spent a lot of time watching comedy shows and circus acts etc. This picture is from the circus. Had a lot of admiration for the fellow doing this trick considering he was working on an unsteady surface (the ship was rolling a bit at this stage).

I have a lot of earrings. These were given me by a student who is fond of Peking Opera.

Great photo Martin. I love the Red Arrows, they used to come here but unfortunately Southend had to drop the air show, council wouldn't fund it anymore. Thank you, I'm glad you like my photo. I took hundreds on the day! Seems rather short sighted to cancel your air show. I've never been to the Southend one but the Weston Super Mare one attracted huge crowds on both days (& does every year) so that not only puts a lot of money into the local economy but also into the coffers of the council in parking fees (& fines.)

were you making borscht that day, Flopsy? (my favourite soup -unfortunately, my beets are going to be a writeoff for the second year in a row lol) Lovely tomatoes, they look yummy.
Martin: love the plane(s) photo. You need to come visit me and sit on my deck. I live in a fly zone. And the Snowbirds fly over here every year (oops. perhaps next July lol)
Christina: love your photo. I have red currants ready right now, but they're more purple than red, so don't apply I suppose

Somehow I thought this theme also included blue; there's enough white here though. The limestone travertines at Pamukkale in Turkey. Hi, Jake! Lovely to see you back.

Lovely to be seen anywhere Z (giggles) You don't want to see my hair though. Hasn't been this short (ie nonexistent since I was a newborn lol). All is good though I'm told. And I am thrilled to have you taking me on tours around the world again. VERY cool photo, looks like snow and icy water.

I am now wondering for the life of me what book character is called Rose of Sharon (except for the Bible of course which is in the Song of Solomon, the name of his beloved). It could be Steinbeck. Am I right? Help! Later: I googled it and the whole thing is fascinating. LOTS of flars are supposed to be the original Rose of Sharon, and yes she is in the Grapes of Wrath isn't she? (Rosasharn).Amazing.

VERY cool photo, looks like snow and icy water. It was actually nice and warm and the limestone feels all soft and smooth under the feet.

The former summer palace of the kings of Udaipur. It stands in the middle of Lake Pichola and is only accessible by boat. It was converted to a luxury hotel in the 1970s. We spent 3 days here and felt like royalty. The red boat at the side was used by the king to watch celebrations on the banks of the river. The blur in the background on the top of the hill is the Monsoon Palace.

Plenty of red and white in evidence here. Birnbeck pier in Weston Super Mare has certainly seen better days. Several groups of people are trying to raise money to pay for restoration back to its former glory though it's proving to be a difficult task and in the meantime, the pier is rapidly decaying. Sad to say, one big storm and like many other piers around the coast of the UK, it may well be lost forever.
