We're still playing musical chairs, and ozfei has two up there this week with her. This is the first week someone (solo or joint) has led by more than one point.
The story of the day has to come from Indianapolis...in the third quarter, down by six, the Colts are looking at a 4th and 3 on their own 37. They set up for a punt, but then move nine men sideways, leaving two around the ball. The Patriots don't flinch or budge on the Colts' trickery, and stop the play not only short of the first down, but behind the line of scrimmage, plus the Colts were flagged for an illegal formation...gee, I wonder why!! What was the logic in that??? Later in the same game, the Colts score a TD to get within seven, but a Patriots blocker had other plans to keep it that way. He jumped the entire line to block the kick!
Two games didn't get decided in sixty minutes, so they got to play a little extra football...both games went about as planned...19 picked Denver and 16 took Detroit.
KrivoyRog has defaulted the last three weeks, so if he does not tip next week, he becomes inactive.
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his former home team...he's 3-2 after they didn't play this week. He's 4-2 picking his new "home" team...they took a lead into the half, but Kirk Cousins did a typical Cousins move...got outscored 20-7 in the second half. LeoDaVinci is 4-2 picking his team...which is better than his team is faring!!

We have a new leader this week, as dg_dave goes 12/14, taking a bonus point for that effort, and also for being one of three to pick Jacksonville to win in London. Ozzz2002 didn't fare as well, and falls down the table by ten places.
Still playing musical chairs in placing...and have multiple players in deadheats on points. First through 14th are only ten points apart.
We had three go default this week. LeoDaVinci only picked his Niners, so as he missed that one late, he was given default.
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his former home team...he's 4-2 after they allowed the G-men THREE INTs in the game. He's 5-2 picking his new "home" team...they came out of nowhere to pull off that victory! LeoDaVinci is 4-3 picking his team...which is the only tip he posted this week, and it was late to boot.

Since Monday night's game became close, after Carolina led by 17, these results weren't up with :05 left lol. It took two Graham Gano FG's in OT to seal this one...his second from 52 yards, which kept the Panthers in the line of the perfects...Green Bay lost out of that group this week, but they were playing the (then) 6-0 Broncos, so one of them was likely going to lose, although ties CAN happen in the NFL...
We had a huge shootout in New Orleans with 13 TD passes between both quarterbacks, and that scoreline is no misprint...Kai Forbath hit a game winning field goal as time expired. The only reason Eli Manning didn't also have 7 TD passes is because the NY defense scored one of their 7 TD's.
Dizart, wwe84, and srini701 had their crystall balls working some OT, as they all hit on near miss bonuses, ozzz2002 and CmDrK need new crystal balls as theirs broke on them, and themonarch knew something in Atlanta that the rest of us didn't...

We have a new leader this week in wwe84, who vaulted over seven people with two bonus points and a weekly win. He had plenty of competition, as there are five in joint second.
Wwe84 and illiniman14 had alterior motives when they decided to pick Indy to beat the (then) 7-0 Broncos. Somehow they knew Peyton would have bad luck again...no pun intended, but it's out there... 
Even though LeoDaVinci scored only five points, he lost a point for late tips; he got six correct, which did not carry a Spoon...Howie72 took that "honor" with his five.
Only a few kept their place from last week...ozzz2002 in 18th, KrivoyRog in 21st (who is inactive), and Dizart, ozfei, Mustang, and srini701 in joint 2nd (they had dg_dave join them), and CmdrK in 16th.
Note: ozfei did not tip the Thursday game, but as everyone else had tipped Cincinnati, she was given a gimme point for that one.

Terrible scores overall, and it shows in our tipping, as eleven of the fourteen games were won by the road teams. It also shows we had several go out on a limb, and that's why we have thirteen bonus points going out. The Steelers, Patriots, and Panthers kept us from looking absolutely horrific...although the Patriots escaped the New Meadowlands with a win.
Howie72 failed to tip the Patriots/Giants game, however, since everyone picked New England, he gets a "gimme" point for that.
Can we do better next week, y'all? At least there weren't EIGHT spoons going out this week!
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his former home team...he's 6-3 after they, for the seventh straight week, proved they cannot win without Tony Romo, yet still had Dez Bryant in the lineup. He's 6-3 picking his new "home" team...they whooped up the Saints in Landover. LeoDaVinci is 5-4 picking his team...who did not play this week.

We fared some better this week, at least getting five in all cases, and two scored ten...the latter two took the weekly win, and toocool4u jumped even with wwe84 in doing so. Dizart is a single point back.
Ozzz2002 was hoping what a lot of us were probably hoping for...a Patriots loss so they wouldn't be undefeated...but alas, it was not meant to be...
ElfTwinkle almost didn't get her Thursday tip in, but hers counted (4:57pm FT)...

For our US based tippers, hope all had a great Thanksgiving...watched a lot of football, ate a lot of turkey, and all the trimmings...
I don't mind waiting until there are two minutes left to get results tabulated, but when you have to wait until the clock is at :00 or the game goes into OT on Monday (I thought this week's was going to, but Baltimore decided they'd played enough), it makes things interesting...although I don't like having them done and ready to post with 14 minutes left in the 3rd quarter either...lol.

Almost had two shockers this week, but the Panthers pulled it out in the end. The Patriots (Brady and Belichick) had 35 scored straight on them for the first time in Brady's career, and the Eagles held on for an upset in Foxboro.
Wwe84 was going for a lot of upsets, but as only three favorites lost (N-Bomb and George95 missed only those three, taking the weekly win), wwe84 picks up a Spoon this week.
PaulE and the bottom seven are the only ones to retain their placing from last week.
What was ozzz2002 thinking??? Not what the rest of us were, obviously...but that game kept me on my toes...0-0, 3-3, 6-6, 9-9, then DeSean Jackson loses the football deep in his own territory, the officials call it incorrectly as a fumble (he was down by contact), Dallas takes a 16-9 lead with 1:14 left, then Cousins and Jackson connect for a TD with :44 left, making it 16-16...then Dez Bryant (yuck!!!) gets into Bailey's FG range, which he hits from 54 with :09 left. Can't a Monday night game come easy next week???

A good week by all, save for ozzz2002...the only tipper not to score ten points (wwe84 jagged nine buut took a bonus).
Ozfei retains her two point lead with two weeks to go...will she hold on? Any of the first ten should take the podium...but eight through ten will only take a minor placing.
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his former home team...he's 9-5 after they got knocked out of playoff contention. He's 7-7 picking his new "home" team...they hold the same record and are leaders in their division. LeoDaVinci is 8-6 picking his team...he knew better than to expect them to beat Cincinnati...
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked. ‡CmdrK and PaulE fell victim this week by picking the lot bar one on favorites.

An odd week, as we had the (then) 14-0 Panthers come to Atlanta, and leave 14-1. We had the Jets take a big lead, see the Patriots come back to tie late, and Belichick defers the kickoff in OT with a correct coin toss call, promptly giving the Jets an OT win with an Eric Decker TD pass. We saw Charles Woodson (a defensive back) play offense for the first time in his career, and leave the Black Hole with a win in OT over San Diego.
Ozzz2002 went out on a limb in several instances (he chose the most underdogs at seven), and three hit paydirt for him (Baltimore winning at home without Flacco, Seattle losing at home (LeoDaVinci joined him for that result), and the Carolina result (which Sypher and Dizart both also saw coming).
This was the week of the upset, as nine of the Saturday/Sunday game underdogs won...five of which were on the road (Washington, Indianapolis, Chicago, Houston (in a big way!), and St. Louis).
If you play fantasy football and had the Arizona defense as your starting defense, you should have done very well...nine sacks, three fumble recoveries (two of which went for TDs), and two INTs (which is very much not like Aaron Rodgers).
Will ozfei take the gold? Will someone else come out of nowhere and pull the rug out from under her? All will be revealed next week!
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his former home team...he's 10-5 after they started their 4th quarterback of the season, and came out with the same result...an ugly loss. Will Jason Garrett be back next season, and if the answer is no, who will Jerry Jones find to be his puppet? He's 7-8 picking his new "home" team...they took their division with their win in Philadelphia. LeoDaVinci is 8-7 picking his team...was he hoping the Niners would defeat Megatron...on the road? We have a better chance of seeing the sun at 3am than that!!

The NFL season has come to a close for 2015. Some teams did as expected (Patriots still went 12-4), and others came out of nowhere (Redskins won the NFC East when they were slated to be in the cellar, and the Panthers ended at 15-1). Same goes for our comp. After three straight years on the podium, dg_dave ends in joint sixth. Ozfei went atop the leaderboard in Week 4, held it for three weeks, fell down a bit, then regained the lead in Week 14, and hangs on to win her first gold medal in NFL. Way to go!
As is customary for Week 17, some games were meaningless (Redskins vs Cowboys, Eagles vs Giants (oh did I mention all four NFC East teams? LOL), Rams vs Niners), yet others had playoff implications (Seahawks vs Cardinals, Vikings vs Packers (will talk about this one later), Chargers vs Broncos). About all of those games went as predicted, except the Cardinals' beatdown, and the Dolphins win at home against the Patriots.
Originally scheduled for a 1pm Eastern time kickoff, the Vikings/Packers game was moved to the nightcap and an 8:30pm kickoff, as the winner would be crowned the NFC North champ. Both teams entered the game at 10-5, and as the Redskins were only going to go 9-7 or 8-8, the winner could not do better than third, and the loser was already in the playoffs (Minnesota and Green Bay had clinched playoff spots in Week 16). The first half was rather uneventful, as there were three FGs kicked. In the third, the Vikings took a 20-3 lead, and were poised and ready to celebrate, but here came Aaron Rodgers at home, in the confines of Lambeau Field...he made a game of it until the 2:09 mark, when he threw an INT in the end zone, ending Green Bay's chance of taking it to OT...or was it? The Vikings could not get another first down, so that gave Rodgers the ball with 1:08 left...and no time outs. He fell into a fourth down not once, but twice, converting the first, and with ten seconds to go and that second fourth down, tried to pull exactly what he pulled a few weeks prior...a hail Mary pass to Richard Rodgers (no relation), but unlike the previous time, the Vikings were ready and batted the ball away, winning the NFC North for the first time in six years.
Without bonus points, toocool4u would have not been on the podium, and Dizart would have risen to silver. George95 would have taken bronze. Sypher and ElfTwinkle took no weekly awards, and paper_aero was the only one to have no bonus points. Ozzz2002 had the worst luck, taking six wooden spoons, and toocool4u and wwe84 took the most weekly wins with three each.
I will hand off the baton to illiniman14 to take up to Super Bowl 50...

Thanks dg_dave for running the comp. Apart from some "net" hiccups in the last week I am also still reeling from winning this and also of getting my FIRST gold trophy on the Yahoo Fantasy League I have been playing in for numerous years. I certainly just scraped this one in. Congrats to my fellow Podium winners  See you all next season!
