The new Free-To-Air NRL TV Rights have been decided Channel 9 has retain the rights to screen the NRL from 2018 to 2022 in a deal worth $925 million

Channel 9 has held the NRL TV Rights since 1992

Under the new deal that begins in 2018 Channel 9 will screen 4 live games a week

1 Thursday night Live game
1 Friday night Live game
1 Saturday night Live game
1 Sunday Afternoon Live game

Channel 9 will screen the State Of Origin Series with Game 1 & 3 Live Wednesday Games & Game 2 will be played on Sunday on Rep Weekend


The Pay TV Rights hasn't been decided but the rumour is Fox Sports will have a channel that is similar to the AFL Fox Footy Channel that is a 24/7 channel of NRL.

From 2017-2022

Thursday Night Games
1 Friday Night Game at 8pm
1 Sunday Afternoon Live game
they will broadcast the final 4 Saturday Night Games of the season Live
All 3 State Of Origins Games

FOX SPORTS:

From 2016:

18 Thursday Night Games
All 8 Games Live on Fox Sports
Monday Night Football will remain in 2016

From 2017:

Every Game Live on Fox Sports
Fox Sports will launched the 24/7 NRL Channel
They will show the 6pm Friday Night game Live on Fox Sports
