Because I have an eye problem I'm no good at speed, so the timed games just make me anxious instead of enjoying them. How, please, do I find the UNtimed quiz games when I just want to have a bit of relaxed fun?

All of the Trivia Quizzes are untimed, unless you select 'Quiz Game' format. There are about 130,000 of these, so that should keep you busy for a while. Find them, sorted by category, on the left of your screen.
In the various daily/Hourly games, the untimed ones are-
-Brain Teaser -Quick Question game -Monster Quiz -Bus Ride -Crystal Ball -Quiz of the Hour.

Look down the right hand column for author listed as FTQuizBot. These are mixed source, category specific tests of your knowledge, ranging from easy to medium to hard.
