Politicians, actors and actresses, sports people, scientists and writers, to name but a few ... the left-handers of the world are an illustrious band.

Less well-known "lefties" include my husband and daughter.

What about our members, how many of you are members of the left-handed brigade?

My two grandchildren are both lefties, as was my mother-in-law.

My grandson, aged 7, has a Blue Peter badge!

I am left-handed as well. We will take over at some point!

I'm basically ambidextrous, but write left-handed. My oldest daughter is a leftie, as are two of my grandchildren. The really odd thing is that my parents are both right-handed yet their two children are left-handed. What are the odds of that?

I was ambidextrous until some well intentioned teacher tried to make me a righty. My parents were even called into a meeting and asked what hand they wanted me to write with. Needless to say I have been a lefty ever since. However I don't use a left handed mouse.

Don't forget, most weapons are made for right handed people.

Did you know that a left-handed bagpipe player either has to learn to play right-handed or get a set of pipes specially made for left-handers? While it's possible for them to play a right-handed set of pipes the left-handed player will never hit the first note (E) with the rest of the band as their fingers will not be in the correct position on the chanter.

That can change in time...;)

My sister is left-handed. If you tell me that she's going to rule the world, I'm leaving. It's bad enough that she thinks she does already!

Lefty all the way ... 15% of the population and 50% of the IQ's over 200. Of course we are also more likely to commit suicide or be serial killers. So Flopsy just be nice to your sister...
