It means missing one later but it is officially September so here's a view near Welling of a road going into the distance, something very few do here as they wind too much usually.

I always take fields when I pass them as there aren't any round here. This is south of Gravesend.

Many years ago, before I even thought of moving to Northampton, I often listened to a DJ called Terry Wogan, whose Irish whimsy often drove me insane but who could also be quite funny. Anyway, it was Sir Terry Wogan (now British and a knight of the realm) who was once sent a photo of Northampton's tallest building and christened it "the Northampton Lighthouse" - a double whammy of a joke when you know that, in England, Northampton is almost as far as you can get from the sea.

Pfft, I bet they don't put a Christmas tree on top of that lighthouse every year to show Santa where he can park without getting a ticket.

I never get a visit from Santa so I don't think he even knows where Timaru is.....or am I always too evil?

The trees form an avenue along a farm track, this is a side view, in Swanley (the latest trip aren't up yet to show).

Much too... ... and I'm much too stupid - I've just realised that no Christmas trees are necessary on your lighthouse, it's built right next to a copse!

I was going to mention the trees right next to it but thought it was too obvious....

To jump or not to jump, that was the question this pair of paradise ducks were asking themselves as I was approaching...
