The NHL season is about three weeks away. Come one, come all and tip your way through the NHL! Rules: - One point for a correct tip.
- Deadlines will be at the start of the first game noted in US Eastern time (one to two hours ahead of FT time).
- Default is equal to the higher of Wooden Spoon score or six. (new for 2015) If Wooden Spoon score is five, default is six, but if WS is seven, default is seven.
- Tips not in by the first game's faceoff (noted in US Eastern time) will receive default score.
- We will tip 15 games each weekend (all Saturday and enough Sunday/Monday to equal 15).
- As per last year, the midpoints around the All-Star weekend will not be tipped.
- If a tipper fails to lodge for four consecutive weeks, they will become inactive.
Bonus points: - One point for picking a result solo, or one of two, provided 12 tippers apply.
- One point for picking 12 or more of 15 (new for 2015). There were only two weeks last year that earned a near miss bonus, and this year's comp will determine next year's eligibility.
- Tippers will be ineligible for bonus points if they tip all homes/all aways or all bar one.

Missed the second round by mistake  Please let the WS spoon score be 8 or 9 How about 7, srini? I have the results all tabulated, but as it is 1:30am here in Virginia, it is time for bed lol.

- Ozzz2002 gets the bonus point train out of the station, by picking Calgary to win over Vancouver in Vancouver.
- Two of last week's winners take the weekly win again this week, but are joined by dg_dave and illiniman14 to complete the quartet.
- Ozzz2002 had some company and had to share his Spoon this week with George95.
- The Panthers did not want to give anyone any breathing room at home, and scored a whopping seven goals at home. The Stars felt the pain of an Avalanche as well, yielding six, but they scored three, unlike the Flyers, who certainly were not flying by the end of the game!!

- LeoDaVinci failed to tip and as ozzz2002 only got six, so did he.
- No one expected the Hurricanes to beat the Kings, but they did, and we all lost a point for that one. On the flipside, the Rangers saved everyone from a golden wood.
- Three games were almost picked by everyone, but ozzz2002 was hoping for a win for Buffalo in Dallas and a win for Colorado in DC (the Caps only scored seven on the Avs). ElfTwinkle had her sights on a win by the Isles in Montreal.

FunTrivia.com NHL tipping competition, aka, let's see who wins the most brawls on skates: - A bit more movement this week, but paper_aero is still atop the board, and toocool4u is in the cellar.
- We did just a smidge better than half this week, as we just missed cresting 51% overall (107/210).
- Several groups have paired up, including our leaders.
- N-Bomb takes his second consecutive weekly win, and his sixth overall.
- No one had faith in the Hurricanes to beat the Blackhawks, and we all missed out on that one.
- In the one home and home set, the Blues had to go 65 minutes and then some to beat Dallas, but Dallas wasn't having any of that at American Airlines Center!

| Comp Notes | - Default is higher of Wooden Spoon score or six points. Late starters will enter the comp alongside last place
- 1 bonus point for picking a result solo ... or one of two, provided 12 tippers lodge tips for the round
- bonus pt for perfect picks, or near miss 12+/15
- Tips of all homes (or all homes bar one) or all aways (or all aways bar one) are NOT eligible for bonus points
- Dead-heats : Weekly wins vs wooden spoon countback will determine podium finishes (if they are identical, bonus points will be used)

- Still have a few pairs, including our silver/bronze placings...Sypher nips dg_dave due to more weekly wins.
