Christinap (Chris), our much loved leader, has been very ill for over a year. Things have now reached the stage where she is no longer able to continue on FunTrivia. Chris was always calm and friendly and made everyone in the team feel at home. She has been a prolific quiz writer and regularly entertained the team by writing interactive tales of magic and adventure. We shall miss her greatly.

Chris was a longstanding contributor to the Forum's photo threads sharing pictures of her garden, her dog, walks in the country, days out... just gentle pictures of her life. She was a good friend to many people on FT and will be much missed. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Yes indeed, much missed . Her photos are a joy. My love to her and her family.
I think this her first photo in FT (or close).

I am sorry to read this news. Chris and I exchanged many messages, including some after my interview when we discussed the rather surprising similarities between our lives - place of birth and work, for example.

I don't know her, but I've certainly seen her name all over FT, and in the Forums. She certainly will be missed.

Ren... thanks for the photo. What a lovely garden.

Sad to hear this, I enjoy Christinap's quizzes very much and sorry you will miss such a personality within your team.

Thank you for posting this message though, too often players disappear from Funtrivia without any reason and I often wonder about many names that I used to swap messages with or who were my former teammates.

Very sad news. I have enjoyed reading Chris's posts, looking at her photos and playing her excellent quizzes. I hope her life away from FT is as peaceful as possible.

What a shame, I had no idea she'd been ill. She was one of the mainstays of the photo a day and hope she can at least get a chance to read everything we've written about her to see how important she was here.

I didn't have time yesterday to write muc so I want to add to my previous comments.

I very much enjoyed discussing Go Set a Watchman with Chris, both in the Book Forum and by private message. The private conversations turned tow old matters and late 20th century, British monarchs, and the royal families related through Queen Victoria. We both found the entanglement of bloodlines as foreign policy a bit amusing. When marriage as a way to prevent war between countries failed, we talked about failed family relationships. I've been studying the the family trees of the British royal family for almost two months so I could tell her I had figured out who was which twig one the tree. Selfishly, I'm saddened I won't get the chance to tell her I've learned some of the twists and turns and relationships. I'd been looking forward to discussing it with her.

I hope her suffering is not severe or long term.

I've enjoyed your quizzes a lot, Christina, and your photos, and comparing our seasons, you always get spring a few weeks before I do, despite us being very close on the globe. You were very welcoming to me when I first posted here and I always felt grateful for that. Lots of love.

Christina? You have always showed us that the beauty of your gardens merely reflects the loveliness of your personality. Hugs.

I'm sorry to hear this news, too. Christina was a long-time mainstay of the Worldwide Wizards before going off to Pi in the Sky. She was kind enough to congratulate me when I became the leader of the Wizards and again when we took first place in a couple of the games. Please pass along William/HairyBear's well-wishes to her, also.

Today I won the House of Plantagenet Expert game.

I had tried that topic a few times but didn't think of it as one I really had a chance of winning. That is, until Christina and I began discussing the history of the British monarchy in detail. She told me ways to keep some of the Plantagenets, their consorts, mistresses, children, ministers, and enemies straight in my mind. There was a lot to remember. And study. Because I did study them more so I would be able to discuss the topic with her with more intelligence.

I so wish I could share my win with her. I wouldn't have won this topic if not for her.

Oh darn it all now. I'm tearing up.
