No white swans on the Avon but as the All Blacks are playing South Africa in the upcoming rugby world cup semi final there is only once choice....black swans at Lake Okareka near Rotorua. Just like with the English team, the swans in white are missing in action.

The pathway back to the car park from the Cape Reinga lighthouse, a pleasant little stroll back up the hill

I made a trip to the city (Perth) today to take care of some business and to attend the French Festival. Snapped this as I was walking past - it's our Government House, where the Governor of Western Australia lives, and where the Royals stay when they visit Perth.

Although you can't see them in this photo, there was a team of people gardening and cleaning throughout the grounds - sprucing the place up for the forthcoming visit of Prince Charles and Camilla in November.
