Why doesn't this thread surprise you? All those pics of the sea, the sky, and pet leads/bowls/blankets - not to mention whatever else makes you see blue. smile One pic per week please.

The sky and the sea (and the crescent moon and Jupiter). (Or Venus). (I always forget which is which unless they are both out together.)

Last month we had the Green Lake (Rotokakahi) so this month we should balance it with the neighbouring Blue Lake (Tikitapu), both just outside of Rotorua.

Blue shoes and effnick bag.
They are most uncomfortable. I only bought them because they matched the bag.

Little Blue Penguins wondering where the fish for lunch are at the National Aquarium of New Zealand in Napier. All penguins there have been injured in the wild and the permanent residents are unable to be released due to their injuries.

I have been in that aquarium, Howie! Napier is a very pretty place.

I was not there for long, just enough time for a brief visit to the aquarium. I will have to get back there one day

Flopsy, your picture reminded me of this one that I took at the Adelaide Zoo. (I think I may have posted this before some years ago).

Ooh, yours is flying. Mine was tethered to his perch. That may have been because he was a valuable bird or because he was in a tea garden at a stately home and kept ogling the scones. Or perhaps it's because parakeets have gone feral in this country and they didn't want to add macaw to the mix. wink

Howie, I want those Little (Blue) penguins! We went to see them come ashore when I was in Oz and it's one of the sights I'll never forget. Thousands of them marching across the sand on their way to their burrows. Magic.

We have a few of the penguins living around the Caroline Bay/Port of Timaru area though I have yet to get down there when they return from a hard day in the Pacific Ocean. Not sure how they enjoyed having an elephant seal close by...

OOPS!

No, it's not mine! This little blue car took a wrong turn on Thursday night and ended up in the garden in the middle of our local roundabout. I suspect the driver was either drunk (there's a pub a short distance away) or texting.

Violas and primulas... in theory they should survive the winter, in practice they're feeling a bit blue about it.
