In the penultimate week, Howie72 jumps from 1 point down from the lead to 2 points out front with a HoF performance. N-Bomb and George95 matched each other. Barring a monumental comeback, those 3 will make up the podium, but the order is yet to be finalized. wwe84 joined in the HoF picking and added a solo point to boot. illiniman14 ended any small hope he may have had for a podium spot by picking up his 2nd spoon of the season.
After a season of disappointment, Vanderbilt finally showed signs of life by knocking down #16 Kentucky at home 74-62, which earned wwe84 his bonus point. An upset that rocked the top 25 on Sunday gave ozzz2002 a bonus point as well, with Seton Hall taking it to #5 Xavier to the tune of 90-81. illiniman14 may have been in contention for a solo bonus, but #11 Louisville saw a 4-point lead turn into an 8-point loss as they only hit 1 field goal in the final 5 minutes against #12 Miami (FL).
Once-#1 (and now once-#3) Oklahoma stumbled again on Saturday, falling to rival #25 Texas 76-63. #9 Arizona and #10 Maryland both felt the sting of in-conference losses to ranked opponents. #8 Iowa was knocked down by an Ohio State team trying to play their way into the tournament. Finally, #15 Duke continued their struggles, going down to Pittsburgh 76-62.

Howie72 took back the lead last week, and he seals his victory with a HoF performance and near-perfect bonus. He only missed 2 picks in the final week to pull away from the field and go home with a 4-point victory. Congratulations! He has been on the podium all 4 years this comp has run, and repeats as the gold medalist
If the podium looks familiar this year, it's because you looked at last year's standings. Not only did Howie72 repeat as champion, N-Bomb takes a close second which came down to the final matchup of the weekend. His decision to take all but 1 home team cost him a solo bonus, but it ended up not mattering as he took a 1-point advantage over George95 for silver. George95 matches last year's effort for third. Those three were never threatened for the podium spots starting in week 10, when illiniman14 slowly began to ease back, to the point where George95 ended the season with a 9-point gap over 4th.
Howie72 will also begin next season with the longest active spoonless streak in this comp, currently at 62 weeks. N-Bomb also has a HoF-worthy streak already sitting at 48 weeks going into next year. George95 ended the longest streak in this comp earlier this year at 69 weeks.
The only solo bonus this week went to ozzz2002, who along with N-Bomb chose Davidson over George Washington. Meanwhile, the only upset that actually occurred was Virginia Tech over #7 Miami (FL). Both #11 Louisville and #24 SMU ended their seasons with losses, both banned from postseason play.
An upset-filled season means we should have an incredibly interesting NCAA Tournament, and we look forward to March Madness and maybe, just maybe, our first repeat winner ever. Thanks for a great season!
