It has occurred to me that shouldn't now questions on venues / sporting events that are sponsored corporations should be now discounted due to them being time dependant questions.

Sponsorship of sports venues can change in the future when sponsorship for the naming rights of that venue run out. On such case is Leicester City FC's football ground. When they left their ground at Filbert Street, they moved to a new stadium that was sponsored by Walkers - a snack food manufacturer. When that sponsorship deal run out, the stadium was named after Leicester City's new sponsor King Power.

The same goes for sporting events. Although the English League Cup is a completion for English football teams in the Football League and FA Premier League, that completion itself has had a number of sponsors. As such, the completion has been known in the past as the Milk Cup, Littlewoods Cup, Worthington Cup, Carling Cup, and now the Capitol One Cup.

Editors are well aware of time dependency issues such as these (and many others). The solution is to make it clear what the question is asking, e.g. 'What was the name of Leicester City's stadium between 2002 and 2011?'. It's no different from a question asking 'What is the name of (insert any celebrity's name) wife?' which can change very quickly.

The best way to word this question is "what was the stadium name changed to in 2003?" or "Who did he marry in 1999?" and so on. Those are facts that don't change no matter what happens in future.

Should probably add that some categories are a little picky about accepting questions about prominent people's families....check the guidelines.
