Not sure exactly whether this is the right place, but as a team captain I wish to share our team's Christmas poem with all other teams. Is there an easier way to do this (i.e. contacting all team captains) rather than looking at all team names in say TvT, finding their captain and sending a separate e-mail to each?

Many thanks for any helpful suggestions!
Mike

Why not post it here and let even non-Captains read it? Put it in a chat room post too. Note that some Team Captains are not very active here so you'd be posting to a dead end and the active members of that team wouldn't see it. Here, they might.
Merry Christmas

Hey Mike-- unfortunately, there's no easy way to do this, partly because it helps avoid spam messages. A Christmas card, of course, isn't an example of that, but you can imagine. :p

Every year, the Llamas send out their Christmas message manually via the regular PM system.

Yes. It takes a while but I find the best way is to methodically click my way down the monthly cumulative TvT Top 100 and then add any teams not on that list that we want to send to.

Here's this year's offering for anyone that hasn't already seen it. Kudos and credits to resident bard Flopsy and if you're unfamiliar with Adele's re-emergence from hibernation you might want to listen here first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQHsXMglC9A

"Hello, hello, is this thing on? HELLO?

"Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years someone else would write
The Llamas' Christmas poem
They say that time will renew ya, ha
But I've run out of ideas"

[PDAZ: Oh dear, this mail's from flopsy
She wrote to me several days ago
I didn't check my inbox so now what shall we do
She wants us to write the Christmas ode, oh no!]

"Hello this is flopsy
I'm on FunTrivia dreaming about what I used to win
When I played the TvT
On my own and in all games the whole darn world we had to beat"

[Baban: We'll think of something
Anna: Well you'll do it alone, I am busy
Making quizzes and I have to get home.
TCEB: I'm sorry, I can't mimic her tone.]

"I want to do my Christmas shopping
So Llamas, help me please"

[Goobas: I really can't help,
Playing tennis with pannkuk and it's hard not to yelp
Doublemm: I'm keen on tennis, and watch all I can
But proteins are really my game.]

"Hello this is me, flopsy
I have written a thousand lines
Sadly I have run out of all my very good rhymes
And all my brain has are those seasonal chimes"

[Jabberwok: Has someone got a recipe
For Christmas cake they could send me
Ethan, you live down the road, has your mum got a cake I could load
Kyle, you're very quiet, oh he's eating, and watching his diet.]

"Hello from the warren
Tell the other teams that we're sorry for winning so many games
They've won more this year
(Just don't tell them we hope Wesley's figures put us on top next year too!)"

[MIMO: Hello, let's not worry
About next year's team competition
We'll just send them a card and hope that will do;
I'm baking pies and there's flour all over the place.]

[Looney-Tunes: Hello, llamas share rhymes you've got
In Australia where it's getting hot
Don't feel like doing Christmas rhymes at all
I'm visiting Lones, we're playing netball.]

"It's no secret we win lots of things
Llamas like shiny pins"

[Kaddarsgirl: I'm at school and I'm working
Don't feel able to think up rhymes
Reedy: To me it sounds like shirking
And I just don't have the time.]

"Say hello from the Llamas team
We must have called so many times
To tell them we're sorry for solving puzzles so fast
We're sorry (but we're sure they really don't care)"

[The rest of the llamas: Hummmmmmmmmm, we are humming
This tune is really quite tough
But if you need us as usual we'll be in the pub
Practising bar billiards, drinking ale, talking and stuff]

"Hello, don't forget to
List all the team games that we play
Wish them the best for a Happy New Year
Say good luck getting badges, and in their real lives wherever they are"

[Glendathecat: Hello flopsy where did you go
I'm trying to catch up
I'm waiting to send out our Christmas poem, the other teams will wonder what's happening
So get busy, little rabbit, come on now do your thing.]

"Oh, it's flopsy
I'm so sorry
I'm awake now
A bad dream...

"Hello I am here, back now
What shall we do with this year's song
That nightmare was nasty, when I dialled on that old phone
I had to get a new one, wasn't at home

"What a workload as usual
Wear my paws to the bone
And now it's too late for anything much
So I'll just do a very short verse with a seasonal touch:

Hello to the other teams
The Revenge of the Llamas send greetings to you
Season's Greetings from all round the globe
And everything you wish for yourselves through the New Year!"

[flopsy: Well that was just typical, I should have known better
Than to ask the Llamas for help with that chore
But I've done all my shopping with some time to spare
Roast pheasant and jelly, check; extra carrot cake, check; new slippers, check...]

"Hello, the phone's ringing
Who's that? Adele's lawyers? Can you hear me? I've got a new phone
Hello, I must have cut them off there's just a dial tone...
Hello?"

Thanks for all the advice and I suspected that the 'anti-spam' necessity would be the reason behind the inability to do multiple postings. That's fine!!

Following mehaul's advice and the example from the Llamas above, here is the Australian Players' Christmas wish for all, courtesy of our team member, BlueJane (also posted to a chat thread)

Dashing through the quiz
As fast as we can go,
Hoping at the time
No-one else will play
Ha ha ha ha!!

Other teams compare
The scores that we all get
And what fun it is to sigh
When we beat them in jest!

Ohh Trivia, Trivia,
Games and so much fun,
Have a real beaut Chrissy time
Each and every one!!

smile to both. Thank You and (in my best Robert Mitchum voice)... "Don't stand under the mistletoe with anyone else but me, anyone else but me, anyone else but me. No, no, no. Don't stand under the mistletoe with any... one... else... but... me."
