A smart geezer. I enjoyed 'The Name of the Rose' and 'Baudolino', but - regrettably - gave up a few pages into Foucault's Pendulum (may be the right time to pull it off the shelf again).

RIP Umberto Eco.

Yes, I remember being quite delighted with the originality of that first one.I think I must re read it .
