I love meerkats - here's another one (Adelaide Zoo 2013).

David, doesn't your local community have zoning laws covering the needed screening of business' stock yards? You'd think a garden center would have demonstration hedging as a barrier and boost to sales of privet.

We have all sorts of laws about property, business and otherwise, but I suspect that garden centre's stock of supplies will be exempt because it can't be seen from the road. Talking about building regulations, my gardening chappie came round today and while he was pruning the buddleia I told him about my hedgehog and asked if he could build a feeding station for me (well, for the hedgehog) to keep its food dry... about an hour after he left he came back with this: And I thought I was nuts.

You can't see the garden centre from anywhere as it's surrounded by trees and impossible to access without military training when it's closed. Sun over the trees in Wonersh in Surrey.

A few weeks ago, it was Maynooth's birthday so I took him out to breakfast at a really nice restaurant situated on top of a hill overlooking the Swan River. This was the view from our table.

That looks fantastic, MG! I'd get up early for breakfast with a view like that!

Satguru, is that price for gasoline/petrol by the liter? I know my name's not Satguru but I'm here now... yes, that is the price per litre. The price does vary a little according to where you live but I bought petrol yesterday and paid 102p so not much difference. Which is why you always hear hollow laughter from the Brits when Americans complain about the price of gas...

Yes, 102p = £1.02 = $1.45 (signed) Not Satguru.

Yeah, that would be $5.48 per gallon. I paid $1.88 yesterday.

Precious is so similar to Lucy, even down to the white front. Victor is like her brother would have been, it's like still having her here. Over 70% of the price of our petrol is tax. It's no different to taxing water, they know we have no choice and make us suffer for it. This is the point where the A1 and North Circular divide in Hampstead Garden Suburb, and had a roundabout till about the late 60s.
