I didn't know about Exit10 and Purple Fan. Sad to hear of it.

There's also Dr Bob of the Classical Mensans, though I'm not sure of the exact username and Socalmiguel.

RIP Exit 10, she was one of the editors who helped me for my 1st quiz at Fun Trivia.
There was also ArleneRimmer from my team Quiz Makers Guild who has written quite a few good quizzes.
I propose that in addition to the wonderful ideas of tributes you people have already shared why don't we also keep a list of members who are now deceased.

Just an idea to float around but how about creating a "new team", possibly managed by Terry, an editor, or volunteer. Call the team something like "The FT Memorial Garden" and then place all the profiles of our deceased members in one place.

I don't really like the idea for a new team, seems somewhat macabre, and their team affiliation should remain what it was at the time they were active on FT.

DrBobWill was his username. I knew also about ArleneRimmer passing.

NoraB passed away 4 years ago. It would have been nice if her star shiny teeth grillwork had remained her avatar rather than the bag she now shows us.

Her family works at keeping her facebook page alive. They'd probably have done that here too if technological circuits had been able to remain open.
Which brings up an idea to add a message area on the profile page where others can leave notes in memorial (maybe convert the current global challenge block to a new purpose?)

I wanted to inquire as to what became of these Funtrivia members: Minch, Nightmare, Lord Digby, Miss Linda, Miss India and Junior the Jaws. Haven't seen these six people for a long time now and they were pretty active once.

Nightmare and Junior the Jaws are both alive, just not visiting Funtrivia.

I've often wondered what happened to "uglybird". He wrote so many great quizzes. And I wonder whatever became of the woman (I can't remember her screen name), who posted so often here about her challenges with her illness -- she would talk about her trips to The Cleveland Clinic -- it was some kind of "arachnoid" disease?

Mayneeyak started a few threads on the Regal Beagles that are still popular, and he had a love of music that helped him to cope.

How do you know if someone passes way? We had a teammate who had a stroke and disappeared for awhile and then rejoined after he got better. He started from scratch and is doing great!

My team, Kindred Spirits, has lost 2 members in the last few years (that we know of), AuntDinah, and Joybaby. Our team leader has kept their profiles and names on the site as a rememberance to them. I do like the idea of FT doing something to remember deceased members.

Please include my teammate, Adam. His FT name was adzparadox. I think this is a great idea.

We found out after we queried why someone had not been on the site for a while. Some team members then Googled their names and found the details on line. On one of them their Sister actually signed onto their page and made us aware by posting on the team notice board, although we did already know by that point.

Should anything be done to mark deceased members then we would wait to be informed by someone, no one from our staff will be researching the absence of a player.

Has there been any decision made on this suggestion? If it is a positive one, I'm sorry to say we have one more to add to the list, rosifer of the Wizards has passed away. I will post the news on the chat board, too, she participated there occasionally. The blue rose she used for her avatar would make a nice memorial avatar as well, just add an RIP or In Memoriam to it.

I had no idea about PurpleFan or Exit10, and she wasn't very old either. That was a terrible shock. Dr Bob was my team leader, he had to stop due to ill health but I'm not certain he actually died since but someone on it will know for certain.

Bumping this up once again to ask if there's been any decision made by the administration on the suggestion to memorialize deceased players using the avatar in some way, yes, great idea, it's in the works, or no, too complicated to implement.

I've been informed that Tigershark79 passed away, a week after seeing a doctor! Barely time to say goodbye.
No matter what Fun Trivia decides to do, Lysa will forever be in my memories.

The yellow rose is nice. It's a happy image and that brings happy memories.

I would want to be remembered with a smile rather than a tear.

Asking the same question again.

Has any progress been made on this?

Terry's been away from the site for a little while on a vacation (well-deserved I'd think). I'm sure it's a possibility but not confirmed quite yet.
