Had an interesting thing happen recently.
Having lurked and done quizzes and games for a few years now, thought I might make an attempt at contributing some single questions before attempting to make a quiz.
Popped a question in. Was rejected by editor because they'd just approved a similar one. Minor disappointment but otherwise no problem. I got beaten to the punch and submitted meekly enough to that.
Thought of a new question no one had asked. Put it in. Was quite happy with it. About a week passed with no review. That's ok. Editors might be in Tahiti. I wish I was.
But at that point my submission disappeared without a trace. I'm kind of assuming it was rejected, but I didn't receive an email or message indicating this, nor if adjustment was needed, more information, less information, whatever it may have been.
How would I go about determining the fate of my lost submission?
Can these even be rejected without some kind of notification?
If not, is there an issue with questions disappearing mysteriously if they wait for an extended time for review?
As it was only my second attempt, I don't have enough background knowledge to answer. Any thoughts?
