I always wanted to do this, now I have the chance to wish all Australia and New Zealand a

HAPPY ANZAC DAY

I know it's already over over there, but it's not here, so best wishes.

Just wanted to join you, Dubrov...in wishing a peaceful and enjoyable ANZAC Day to my Aussie buds! I have some new ones, lately, and an old one, too! Couldn't leave you out here hanging by yourself like that! Bless everyone on ANZAC Day...even if it WAS yesterday! -Me! [Smile]

Well, thank you very much. I didn't think anyone knew about it outside of Aust and NZ.

It's a funny kind of day ... you're all sombre in the morning, remembering those that didn't come home, for the dawn services and the march which most towns have ... and then the mood switches about lunch time when far too much alcohol is consummed.

I, for one, feel much more patriotic on ANZAC day that any other day.

It's a pity that the day isn't more widely recognized outside Australia and NZ. As the son of a South wales Borderer who fought in Mesopotamia in WW1,I know how much this country owes to the ANZACs.

It's the way it should be Gill......A time for reflection in the AM and then a celebration in the PM for the freedom that you enjoy now, thanks to the selfless sacrifice of so many brave souls.

Just don't eat too many of them shrimps you'll be 'tossin' onto the barbie'!!!! [Big Grin]
