For six straight weeks there were no changes from 1st through to 8th place. This week 7th and 8th swapped places and 6th drew level with 5th place.
This year's FLC comp is the 11th edition and, in those 11 years, no-one has had a perfect 12/12 pick (do the maths, the odds are simply astronomical) .. srini701 went close in 08-09 with 11/12 ditto FussBudget in 13-14. That's two 11/12s in 11 long years.
This week N-Bomb and gtho4 both picked 11/12 to double the stat to four 11/12s. N-Bomb missed the 0-0 stalemate at Barnsley (he doesn't picked draws) and gtho4 missed the win by Brentford (he'll never pick Leeds to lose).
All of our ducks lined up in a straight line this week; as were the moon and the stars in the sky. Between us we averaged an unheard of 74.5% strike rate, the highest-ever since this comp started. It smashed the previous best of 64.8% set in week 33 of the 07-08 comp. This almost Bradmanesque-like average will probably last for years.
We had a field of 16 line up at the starter's gate this week and 11 of us scored a bonus point for perfect picks or a near miss 9+/12. Every game was picked by someone and two picked by everyone; and nine of the 12 games had correct picks in double digits.
All of the above have been added to the FLC Record Book (see post above this one). | Birmingham lost, which ends their undefeated streak. Wolves and Villa won again to make it five and four consecutive wins .. Wolves are now undefeated in six.
Newcastle and Brighton both won, again, and remain favourites to play in the FAPL next season. It's still a toss-up who will go up as champions.

| N-Bomb has now put 5pts between himself and gtho4 and, from there, there's a gap of 9 pts back to Howie72 in 3rd .. paper_aero is a mere 3 points further back but from there there's a gap of 8 pts to 5th place.
With just 6 rounds left in this 46 lap marathon, it looks like it'll be three of these four who'll collect a medal when we greet the judges at the finish line. Howie72 and gtho4 are still spoon-less.

Three more weeks and this marathon is over. We can all see the judges at the finish post, and the whites of their eyes.
For the 14th straight week there were no changes from 1st through to 4th place. N-Bomb retains the lead, for the 32nd straight week.
We had four winners this week with 7/12 and two wooden spoons with 4/12..wwe84 collected his 15th for the season. He's the only runner in double digits and is miles and miles in front of ozzz2002, who has eight in his collection. Howie72 and gtho4 are still spoon-less.
We had just three bonus points this week.
The last time Brighton played in the top tier of English football was 1983. After an absence of 34 years they have won promotion to the FA Premier League (they will finish 1st or 2nd and gain automatic promotion, no matter what happens over the final three weeks).
Newcastle last played in the FAPL last year (absence of one year), the last time Reading were there was 2013 (four years), for Huddersfield it was 1972 (45 years), Sheffield Wednesday was 2000 (17 years), Fulham was 2014 (three years) and Leeds was 2004 (17 years).
Brighton won again this week and are now undefeated in five (they've won all five). QPR lost again to make it five straight losses.
Rotherham were leading 1-0 away to Reading until the 66th, but two late goals saw them lose yet again. They've now played 16 games without a win.

For the 15th straight week there were no changes from 1st through to 4th place. N-Bomb retains the lead, for the 32nd straight week. ElfTwinkle, this week's winner with 8/12, continues her slow climb up the table, to equal 15th. Three weeks ago she was 11 pts behind 15th place.
srini701 & wwe84 collected this week's wooden spoon award with 2/12 .. wwe84 did it the hard way .. one of his correct picks was a solo pick. It's his second spoon in three wks and he now has 16 for the season, which is double the second-best spoon collection .. ozzz2002 and ElfTwinkle have eight spoons each.
There were no changes from 1st through to 4th, for the 16th consecutive week. N-Bomb is still the leader, for the 33rd straight week. He maintains his margin out front at 6 pts and will finish the comp next week as gold medallist with a 34 week streak as leader.
This will be the 5th longest streak in any tipping comp since the first some 17 years ago, way back in 2000 before the Sydney Olympics (the first-ever comp was the NRL). The all-time record is 39 weeks held jointly by Copago (FAPL 01-02) and Howie72 (FLC 15-16).
paper_aero is now a mere 2 pts behind Howie72 in the battle for bronze (it was 11 pts 20 weeks ago in Round 25). Howie72 and gtho4 are still spoon-less.
Huddersfield, who secured a play-off spot mid-week when they beat Wolves 1-0 away, were beaten 2-0 by a ten-man Birmingham (they had a player red-carded in the 23rd minute). Birmingham, who were win-less
in ten, needed to win to stay out of the bottom three. Reading & Sheffield Wed [their 7th straight win] both won, to secure their play-off spots.
The fourth spot will go to Fulham, whose GD at +27 is superior to that Leeds United at +14. Leeds now need a miracle: a 13-0 win away to Wigan Athletic on the last day of the season, and Fulham to lose at Sheffield Wednesday.
Wigan, who lost away to Reading, will join Rotherham United in League One next season. Which of the three teams above these two will join them will be decided next week.

The final week of the comp saw a truckload of upsets (only two games had correct picks in double digits). Dizart scored the weekly win with 8/12, his 2nd win for the season (his 1st was mid-season in week 21). He also scored 3 bonus pts (vs. five for the previous 45 weeks of the season).
Next best was srini701 with 7/12 and then daylight to the rest of us.
There were five wooden spoon awards .. for wwe84 it was his third spoon in four weeks to make it 17 for the season. He was the only player in double figures. Next was ElfTwinkle with 9 spoons. PaulE matched wwe84; he also collected his third spoon in four weeks.
There were no changes from 1st through to 4th, for the 17th straight week. N-Bomb retained his 6 point margin out front to win gold medal. He finished the comp with a streak of 36 weeks as leader, which is the 3rd longest streak in any FT tipping comp, behind the all-time record of 39 wks, held jointly by Copago (FAPL 2001-02) and Howie72 (last season's FLC comp 2015-16).
Six different players had a go at leading the way: behind N-Bomb was FussBudget with four, Howie72 with three, plus paper_aero, PaulE and srini701 with one each.
gtho4 collected silver and Howie72, the defending titleholder, collected bronze (srini701 was runner-up last year and Dizart finished third). Howie72 & gtho4 finished the season spoon-less.
N-Bomb finished with 10 weekly wins. Next best with seven weeklies each were: dg_dave, PaulE, Howie72 and gtho4.
Brighton slipped to 2nd when Aston Villa equalised in the 89th, to give the FLC title to Newcastle. Brighton return to the top flight after an absence of 34 years. Newcastle are back after just one year. The play-offs will see Huddersfield face their neighbours Sheffield Wednesday (they're 31 miles down the road), and Reading will play Fulham (33 miles away). The play-
off final will be a north v south affair. Years out of the top flight: Fulham three, Reading four, Wednesday seventeen, Huddersfield forty-five.
Blackburn will join Wigan and Rotherham downstairs
in League One. Blackburn have the dubious honour of being the first FAPL champions to play in the third tier of English football (they won the FAPL title in 1995).
