I wanted to make a match quiz, but forgot to choose the correct type format. Howe do I change the format?

For future reference, there's no way to change the template when it's created. The same goes for all types (ie. photo quizzes, regular quizzes, match quizzes).

I've read on some other threads (more than a few weeks ago) that the editors are not keen on people just deleting their quiz templates.

So if I would start a quiz template and then decide another quiz format would be better suited, I suppose the best way is to stop working on the first (less suitable) template and to start a brand new one.

That may work for the most prolific authors, who have the right to work on several quiz templates at one time, but it does not cut the butter for someone who has not gained this perk (yet). I suppose the authors restricted to one quiz template at a time, would have to contact an editor in order to delete the less suitable quiz template.

A sound advice for all: think about which quiz template would be best fitting, before starting the template itself. Personally I set up the quiz in a separate Word document before choosing the template.

Everyone has their own way of writing a quiz but I also find it easier to complete the quiz in a document offline and then open up a quiz template.

We don't mind if you delete a template that no editor has ever seen, but yes, we frown on deletion once an editor has put some work into it.

You can always cotact an editor and discuss these things, or any other issues you have with quizwriting. Sometimes people get very upset about something that is just a little technical glitch that can be dealt with in a minute, so always talk to an editor before you despair!

Absolutely this. If an editor has looked over your quiz with you, a deletion means a time-sink for both the author and the editor. We would rather help you get the quiz online than see it binned over fixable issues.
