N-Bomb takes the weekly win with a mammoth 14/16 and extends his lead out front to 4 pts with just two rounds left, the semis and the final. He picked the card the lot except for the two surprise quarter-finalist, which were picked by no-one: Lincoln City and Millwall.
Sypher catches Dizart to make it a dead-heat for 2nd, with George95 a further 3 pts in arrears .. and form there it's another 3 pts to a group of eight players, who are separated by another 3 pts.

There were no upsets in the 4 quarter-finals. All games were played out according to the script and there were bonus points galore .. illiniman14 collected his first bonus point, which filled the last blank in that column; and one of the three blanks alongside his name. George95 and wwe84 remain the only ones with a digit in each column.

ElfTwinkle is this round's winner with a humungous 14/16, which equals the effort of N-Bomb in the previous round. She picked the card except for the FT result Chelsea v Spurs (she collected a spoon in the previous round)(she collected a spoon in the previous round). She was the only player to pick all four semi-finalists with her advance picks. She flies up the table from 14th to 7th and cuts the 13 point deficit behind a podium finish down to 5 pts. It was her first weekly win of the season.

Arsenal came from 0-1 down to beat Manchester City in extra time. They will be playing in their 20th FA Cup Final next month, and all-time record (one more than Manchester United). | At the end of the previous round ozzz2002 was running equal second last (putting aside the two non-active players at the rear of the field), some 11 pts behind the leader, N-Bomb.
In what is surely the most outrageous come-back in the last round of any FT tipping comp over the last 17 yrs, ozzz2002 scored 12/16 and N-Bomb scored 5/16, which wasn't enough to overtake N-Bomb .. but five bonus points saw ozzz2002 win this by one solitary single point! He won this by a nose with a sustained rails run down the home straight, all the way to the finish post. This was his one and only weekly win!
Howie72 took the silver off N-Bomb on a weekly win vs. spoon countback of +2 to +1.
PaulE, paper_aero, iliniman14 and Sypher finished the season without a weekly win and without a spoon. Four players finished on a personal high for the season: ozzz2002, ElfTwinkle, dg_dave and wwe84 .. George95 finished on a new personal low.
Chelsea went 1-0 down in the 4th minute to a goal by Sanchez and equalised in the 76th with 10 men, after Moses was was shown a red card in the 68th minute for diving (2nd yellow). Ramsay scored the winner three minutes later.
Chelsea's loss was the 8th time the league champions had lost the FA Cup Final since 1888, when the Football League was formed.
Had Chelsea won it would've been their second double, and the 12th ever.

The win by Arsenal came in their 20th cup final appearance (which is a new record). It was their 13th win (also a new record).
ozzz2002 is a first-time winner of this comp .. srini701 is the only player to win back-to-back titles (2009 & 2010) and the only one to win this three times (he won it again in 2015).
This year's FA Cup competition was the 15th edition. The defending title holder was N-Bomb (who came within a whisker of being the 2nd person to win back-to-back titles). Sypher was last year's silver medallist and paper_aero collected the bronze medal.

The Football League added Division Three (South) and Division Three (North) in 1920 and 1921. The two regional leagues disappeared in 1958 when the Fourth
Division was formed (from the bottom halves of each regional league). The FA Cup started in 1872 and the Football League was founded 16 years later in 1888. |
