On the question post page (http://www.funtrivia.com/questionpost.cfm), it currently says:

"102584 questions have been accepted over the past year."

If this means in the last 365 days, then about 281 questions are accepted per day. This seems to me like an astronomically high number! Is it accurate?

And if it is indeed accurate, then why do we see so many repeat questions in the hourly games?

I"m pretty sure it's been established that that is not an accurate figure.

A non editor injection::
It comes close to possibly being the total of all submissions through 5-6 years. It has been noted in Single Question threads, It has been noted in the New Question Game thread. I mentioned it at the time it turned the 100,000 mark about half a year ago. We have gone through math (some by me in error) but we seem to be having 15 sets a day that last a week of exposure at 10 Qs per set (150 new Qs per week) put through the New Question Game after acceptance by the editors. The number of sets and the exposure number of each Q has varied through the years (it seems) and the current wait time to have a Q rated is 12-13 weeks. I can add that the number is known by thems that be and in time, I'm sure it will be fixed or used as is in some manner, Until then I will enjoy watching the number grow since it indicates that people want Fun Trivia to succeed

It doesn't come close to that even. It omits rejected and deleted questions, but includes questions that have made it into the games while also being removed from them later on. It's not at all an accurate number.

The number does constantly grow, but from the back end of things, I can tell you that we're not at the 100,000 mark in terms of questions that have gone through the game, been rated, and stuck in the cache.
