I wrote a quiz and it went on-line today. It was a roller coaster mixture but so far I haven't been given credit in this challenge. Is there something I missed? When I click on the Random Idea Chamber, it still shows this.....

You may be wondering about a way to spice up your QuiWriMo submissions. Well why not try one of these subcategories for a Y-Point. A quiz to any of these will give you want you're looking for, and you know what? All of these are Y-Challenge selections for the first time; they've all been Z-Challenges in the past. Now's your chance!
Aztec Mythology - Formerly in Round 8
Titles (Television) - Formerly in Round 20
Roller Coaster Mixture - Formerly in Round 42

You need to go back to the Awards Center and click on 'Claim a Y award'.

I went back to claim it but it says that I have no credit. I am confused. The challenge states that if you complete a quiz in one of three categories that you will get credit but I am still at the same challenge that asks me to write about roller coasters. Shouldn't I have been awarded the next challenge?

It looks like your quiz is online in the 'Coasters and Theme Parks' category, which is the parent category for the sub-category that will give the TRIC credit.
When you save a quiz in an eligible category you get a message at the bottom of the TRIC page confirming that you'll get credit for it once the quiz is online.

Fifiona has it right; your quiz is not in the subcategory listed. I would recommend discussing the possibilities with your category editor if you still wish to get the quiz to work for the section you're aiming for, but this might not be a possibility since the quiz has already been played.

I meant to mention earlier that it's a good idea to put a note in the 'note to editor' section when you submit your quiz to highlight if you're intending it for a particular TRIC category. That way there can be some discussion about how to get it to fit the intended category if possible.

This is actually advised in the page preceding every TRIC round.

It also doesn't hurt, if you are unsure whether the quiz you have in mind will fit in the intended category, to drop a line to an editor in the category, before you start writing.
