WesleyCrusher Administrator Registered: Thu Sep 04 2008 Posts: 7583 Loc: Germany	These ratings use the standings from the "last month" page: http://www.funtrivia.com/tvt_lastmonth.cfm There are ten games on that page and the raw placings are converted to a percentile for each game. So if there were exactly 25 larger teams in one specific game, the first would get 100 points, the second 96, third 92 and so on down to 4 for the last one. With 100 teams, it's 100, 99, 98, and so on. 73 teams and we get 100, 98.63, 97.26, etc. For small teams (which do not necessarily have all scores displayed as there are a lot of one- and two-player teams that don't make the ranks), I count only the ones actually on the list. A small simplified example - if the only ranks on the list were 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, 18 and 24 that would be ten teams and the #11 would rank 7th of those 10, for a percentile of 40. The ten scores are added up for all teams that have at least five of the ten games with any placing, yielding the maximum 1000 per month. The ones with fewer are considered to not have participated; I won't embarrass anyone with a 0.68 out of 1000 score simply because that team had one player playing a single hourly game during the month. WesleyCrusher Administrator Registered: Thu Sep 04 2008 Posts: 7583 Loc: Germany	Just for everyone's information - I crosschecked the monthly standings for August and they were calculated with 29 days, so the end of year standings will properly reflect all 365 days of play once. Nothing is doubled up or lost; the only difference is that July was a bit longer and August a bit shorter, so those two months' individual scores will be a bit off. August cumulative and trends include both shifted months, so they don't have a carry-over effect. I have another quiz in the approval process that has to be approved before I can submit it, though. I let the other one sit for a long time because I didn't really think there was anything wrong with it. No ransoms, but score calculations can get into the way of the precise trigonometric calculations needed to determine the required exact lantern placement for anti-darkness rituals. Of course I could have just approximated it, but then we would have needed far more lanterns and no one wants that...

I pulled and saved the data around the 25th (just in case anything would prevent me from compiling before the 31st). The low score for the Llamas in September is caused by the fact that you were medium in that round and behind the Wizards in all games.
