A good day at Yankee Stadium and the Rangers' ballpark sees dg_dave move into joint fourth place, with stellar picks of 12/15, plus two bonus points, one for the 12+, and one for picking the Rangers, the latter shared with the very smart Sypher. Five other players were also smart...that consists of paper_aero, Howie72, George95, PaulE, and ElfTwinkle, who rightly picked the Red Sox to beat the smelly team in the Bronx. Unfortunately, there were too many tips there for a bonus, but gold stars abound for those six players (as mentioned last week, I do NOT pick that team to win...ever).

If pitching wins games, then Detroit and Minnesota's staffs were both on the short end...as Detroit took that game that saw 23 runs scored...the last two off a walkoff home run in the bottom of the 9th. Baltimore and Boston also scored double digits, however, Baltimore was only playing the A's. Boston's ten runs were all scored off the Yanks' ACE pitcher.

Illiniman14 went out on a limb, picking Miami to win at home, and it hit paydirt, as well as toocool4u and N-Bomb picking the Angels to beat Seattle in Seattle.

Two games were picked by everyone, and both came out as expected...Washington beating San Francisco (the 2nd best vs worst teams in the National League), and the Dodgers over the Padres (best vs 2nd worst).

Let's go Red Sox again this weekend...extend your division lead over those Punks! And you Punks...get in the cellar!!!

For a team to be deemed "irrelevant", Dizart, they sure did light up the scoreboard to the tune of 17 runs...only FOUR times what the Skunks got...and they are relevant? No, they only buy the best and think they can win. Anyway, the Skunks can't hold a candle to the Dodgers (not like anyone else can for that matter). I'd tip a four game sweep to Los Angeles in a series like that.

Outside of the Money Grabbers winning (and the Rangers), two games went opposite of the expected, as no one got them (San Diego to beat Washington and Milwaukee beating Colorado), and one was tipped by one (my tip of Cincinnati to beat Atlanta at home - maybe because they've fallen off the radar since the All-Star break, like Judge's bat did - more on that in a minute). Three other games, had they gone opposite, would have seen more than just the three total bonus points..with the Cubs beating the Jays, the Astros winning over the A's, and the Rangers annihilating the White Sox.

In other baseball news, Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge did what no other baseball player has done...struck out in 36 straight games. Two pitchers had done it in 35 and 34, and Vida Blue was one of them, but no other position player had done it more than Adam Dunn with 32. How does it feel to be a part of the record books, Judge (in your rookie season)?

A few bonuses go out this week (none to the resident Yanks fan haha), with wwe84 taking two on his picks of the cellar dwelling Oakland Athletics beating the AL West leading Houston Astros (shared with Sypher - and I bet neither of them excepted a blowout like that) and the San Diego Padres beating the NL wild card leading Arizona Diamondbacks (which was a much closer contest). A decent tipping week, as we go just a hair above 2/3 correct this week (by one, as 120/180 is exactly 2/3). The Canadians had faith in their home team, and it hit paydirt for them. Too bad Baltimore couldn't have beaten the cheaters. The wrong team won in New York this week...the birds should have. LOSE LOSE LOSE, you evil players!! Come on Boston, keep the yanks from the division title!!!!!!!

Now with just two weeks to go, N-Bomb takes another weekly win, and Sypher leapfrogs ozzz2002 for second. About the only two not on the podium right now that could snag a minor place is dg_dave in 5th and the yanks fan in 4th. Personally, I'd like to see ozzz2002 get a podium place, but that's just me.

The final pitch of the MLB season has happened. N-Bomb skips away to an eight point win, beating both ozzz2002 (who takes silver on his 4-2 lead on weekly wins) and Sypher.

On the opposite end, yoyoandcigs and spanishliz both dropped off the radar after a few weeks.

The most weekly wins was taken by our winner, N-Bomb, with seven, and second place went to wwe84 with six. The only reason wwe84 wasn't on the podium is because he took the most Spoons with eight.

Only three players took more than ten bonus points, and all of them are mentioned above in some fashion: ozzz2002 had 14, wwe84 had 13, and Sypher with 11.

As we are now into the LCS series, I'm still rooting for three teams. Go home yanks...AND STAY THERE!
