Joshua Tree National Park in California. The Joshua trees were so named by Mormon settlers because they looked like Joshua raising his hands to heaven.

I captured this little chap, a Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) whilst occupying my hide in order to photograph a Treecreeper... The Treecreeper wasn't co-operating on the day but I can't complain at this one.

This is the (relatively) new footbridge that crosses Torquay harbour between the inner harbour and the larger marina. This image was taken using a star filter, something that I have just started experimenting with... At first I thought I'd overcooked this one but it's sort of grown on me a bit.
