Hi guys smile

Wasn't sure where to post this after browsing the forums but I have a random query: Where is funtrivia "based" as in timezone-wise. I note that the administrative address is in Cali, but the buzzfeed seems to be on CST even though, as I understand it, the States (excluding Arizona - I think?) are currently on Daylight Savings time so shouldn't FT be on CDT? Just checking as we went on UK DST last weekend and waiting to see if the time for the Global Challenge to reset again >.<

Cheers

At one time, FT observed the time change, but it became cumbersome because not everyone changes on the same schedule (if at all). For several years, FT has been permanently on CST. We all adjust according to our own localities.

The server is in the Houston area of Texas, if I remember correctly, which all of Texas (save for the two far westernmost counties by El Paso) is in Central time.

Ah that makes sense - and is indeed helpful without the extra jumping...double-jumping per se.

Thanks so much for replying!

Oh really? That's actually interesting to know, as I do often wonder where all the FT magic is created in "the real world" wink

Thanks for replying smile
