Govannon, please do not keep changing the thread titles, just reply to the previous message and post your pic/comment. Leave the title alone or other people may get confused. Thanks. Sorry, I was actually trying to be helpful and thought that was what the box was for, as in other forums, and would definitely not have foreseen any confusion by others.

I could start a whole new 'Photo-a-Day' thread on this subject alone. Virtually every day for the last two or three years, Abbey Sands, which is Torquay's main beach, has been graced with pictorial design carved into the sand by a local artist. Quite often the design celebrates a day of local, national or international importance with some quite exceptional works commemorating Holocaust Day, Mothering Sunday and Remembrance/Armistice Day. The man's work has proved to be very popular, being featured on more than a few occasions in both the local and regional press, and locals and tourists alike will throw money onto the beach, much of which is donated to local charities. This image is far from perfect but I will endeavour to get some closer shots of future works.

Photo taken at the beach at Emu Point (Albany, Western Australia). The tree is a Norfolk Island pine which, as the name implies, is native to Norfolk Island (in the Pacific Ocean off the east coast of Australia). The trees were introduced by early settlers.

Thanks Carole! As a child I was a great flyover fan. Here is part of the double one down the road from me.

I'm not sure if I have already posted this. I checked back through the monthly threads and could not find it, so please forgive me if it is a repeat. Last October, we visited the Berry Farm in Margaret River. The local birds know that the outdoor cafe is a good source of sugar as people sit down with a cup of tea and a scone and are happy to feed them. These are New Holland Honey Eaters eating sugar from Maynooth's hand.

Got it in one, my faith was affirmed! Northway Gardens in the spring, just down the road from where I used to live.

I seem to have completely lost the honour of using Photobucket at all, but I recently sent several people a picture that I took of a poster in my village for a taxi company called "God Taxis," and commented that I had always hoped to find a way to enter heaven . I would like to post it but maybe in a new section called Funny sightings or something I am always spotting silly stuff , especially here in Asia, wrong spellings and funny expressions. is there a place for a thread like that?
