Hi, this is George / MrNobody97.

I'm getting a 403 Forbidden HTTP status code, which reads: Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

But only from my PC and devices connected to our wireless. When I turn off Wi-Fi on this iPad and force it to use cellular data, I get no problems. Hence how I got on.

Yes, I restarted the router and modem ... no change.

Could someone please either post a reply back to me, or email me? I'm royally stymied.

Thank you in advance for any help!

MrNobody97 / George

There seems to be a problem for just a few people today. Two of my teammates, one from Maryland, one in Portugal, have said they are having difficulties either getting on or playing the Duel.

Thank you, CmdrK. What's odd is, as I said, if I use cellular data instead or Wi-Fi I get no error message. A friend of mine said FT loads normally for him. This began for me at some point in the last few hours. Not ideal for me and others doing the Global Challenge last days! Could someone (either Terry or an admin) see if they're able to resolve my issue?

Thanks again.

(4:50 a.m. update: Still stuck with the 403, so still playing from an iPad.)

Just so there's no question on anyone's part (that is, just to be "transparent" and not cause any potential worries about double-logins or the like), I did play tonight's GC set, on an iPad (I've never done so before). While I wait for a solution to the main issue I raised, I don't know if I was showing as having been already logged-in, but as the iPad is the only thing I can use at the moment, I resorted to it. Thus if you (Terry, Wes, et al) see something like the same account showing two IPs (or such), this is why. I am on an iPad until my PC's 403 error is resolved.

I hope this is all okay.

Sincerely,
George

(At the time of this posting, about 11:17 FT time, the issue has not changed.)

Just an idea, based on something one of the help desk guys told me; Do you have cable connectors for your PC? I was told that you get a slightly better service using a wired connection.

Sounds like an IP block. I am no tech expert, but it seems to happen when a user submits too much data to the website and the system blocks them because it thinks it is under attack. It could be that someone somewhere had that same IP and it got blocked by the system.

In the past, I think the system unblocks it after 24 hours, but that is a bit of speculation on my part.

Terry -- sorry I didn't reply sooner. After my most-recent post (early morning), I've not visited the site till basically now. Complicated day, won't bore you with the details. However, all looks to be back in order now.

Thank you very much for helping out!
