ElfTwinkle and Sypher scored the weekly win, their first of the season. George95 collects back-to-back wooden spoons, PaulE collects his second for the season .. while illiniman14 & srini701 collect their first.

Last week we had a three-way tie for first place. This week we're back to where we at the start of the season, N-Bomb is again all alone out front.

New highs: dg_dave and Sypher.
New lows: George95, illiniman14 (again), srini701 (again) and PaulE (again).

The first four have a margin of two points back to the peloton (same as last week). The spread top to bottom is 14 pts (it was 13 opts last week).

Cardiff City drew away at Fulham to retain top spot, and their undefeated start to the season. Leeds thumped Burton 5-0 to continue their undefeated run .. they've now kept a clean sheet for five straight games. Brentford and Bolton again failed to win.

Win-less: Brentford and Bolton Wanderers

The next round is mid-week: FLC [ 7 ] Tue 12th Sep, the same day as the start of the UEFA Champions League.

George95 scored his 3rd weekly win of the season (he collected back-to-back spoons in the previous two weeks). He has more weekly wins than anyone else, by a clear margin.

LeoDaVinci and srini701 scored their first weekly win, to make their debut appearance in the weekly HoF. PaulE collected his third wooden spoon for the season (that's back-to-back spoons). He leads the wooden spoon race with three.

N-Bomb continues to lead by a margin of 1 pt and Howie72 slips from 2nd place to 4th.

Howie72's spoon ended his spoon-less streak at 60 weeks. His previous wooden spoon was over two years ago in March 2015, in week 39 of the 2015-16 comp.

dg_dave collects his second wooden spoon of the season (both have come in the last three weeks). He drops to 10th place, a new personal low.

N-Bomb and FussBudget retain their lead but are joined out front by ozzz2002 to make it a three-way tie for first place .. the last time this happened mid-season in the FLC comp was 6 years ago in October 2011, when Sypher, George95 and paper_aero were leading the way.

Dizart collected the sole bonus pt earnt this week. No-one picked Middlesbrough to lose at home to Norwich. We all picked a home win apart from Dizart, who picked a draw.

There was just the one weekly winner this week. Howie72 picked 9/12 for a near-perfect bonus point plus another bonus point for the solo weekly win. He's the first person to score a near-perfect bonus this season. He's now a mere point behind the three out front.

There's no change out front. N-Bomb continues to lead the way to the promised land. FussBudget and ozzz2002 are still tied for 2nd.

Between us we averaged at 54.7% strike rate, the highest so far this season .. and high enough to earn an entry in the FLC Record Book (see post below this one). The spread top to bottom is now out to 19 pts (it was 17 pts last week and 15 pts for the prior two weeks).

Bristol City's undefeated run ends at ten (their previous loss was in mid-August). They lost at home to Leeds, who had lost three straight going in this game. PNE lost at Wolves, which ended their undefeated streak at 9 games. That's three consecutive wins for Wolves, who retain their position at the top of the pile, two points in front of Cardiff and Sheffield United (they both won and are still tied for 2nd).

This week we earnt ourselves an entry in the FLC Record Book: our avge strike rate was 19.3%, which is an all-time low. The FLC tipping comp started some 12 years ago and, after almost 520 rounds of tipping, we've never had an average strike rate below 20%. With just one home win in 12 games and seven aways, it's no surprise!

Three of the 12 games were picked by no-one and three games were solo picks (that's half the card). Two games were picked by just two players, which gives us 8 of 12 games where most of us got diddly-squat.

Just 2 of 16 players scored 4/12 for the weekly win, which equals the all-time low score for a weekly win (and it's another entry in the FLC Record Book). We came within a whisker of 3/12 for the weekly win, which is a paltry strike rate of just 25%.

When the dust settled on a weekend of upsets, N-Bomb is still leading the way .. there were no changes in the first four.

Norwich lost at home to Derby, which ended Norwich's undefeated run at 8 games and extended Derby's to six. Wolves were beaten by QPR, which ended their winning streak at three and QPR's win-less streak at seven .. wwe84 had the hide to pick this upset!

The topsy-turvy results in the FLC continue. Last week we had nine home wins and zero draws. This week it's three homes and six draws .. and most of us ended up with 3/12 or 4/12, except for PaulE. He had four draws in his 12 picks and all of them hit pay dirt. He ended up with 8/12 and scored the weekly win to retain 2nd last place on the ladder.

At the other end ozzz2002 scored 2/12 to collect the wooden spoon; and retain 2nd place on the ladder. This spoon allowed N-Bomb to again extend his lead out front. It's now 5 pts, the biggest margin so far this season. The next 5 points cover 7 players.

The defending titleholder, N-Bomb, extends his lead to 7 points. He hit the lead in week 5 and, after 16 weeks, is still there. We're at week 20 of 46 and if, as expected, he's still there at the end of the season, he'll break the oldest record for any FT tipping comp, being consecutive weeks as leader. This record was set by Copago in the FAPL comp way back in 2001-02 at 39 weeks, and equalled by Howie72 in this comp in the 2015-16 season.

If too many FLC teams progress to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, week 29 of this comp will be abandoned and N-Bomb will suffer the same fate as Howie72 two years ago .. ending the season as leader for 39 straight weeks (and not 40 weeks).

paper_aero and srini701 were this week's winners with 9/12, for which they received a bonus pt; their first for the season. N-Bomb also earnt a bonus point (his first for the season). These plugged the remaining three blanks in the bp column, leaving us with just two blanks: Dizart is still spoon-less and FusBudget is still looking for his first weekly wijn.
