I ran into an issue on a match quiz today which I believe was due to use of non standard symbolism. Even though I selected the correct answer, the site thought that I got the answers wrong. I submitted a correction notice but also wanted to bring it to a more general forum so the editors are aware that this could be a problem in future quizzes.

As an example, the word aperitif with an accent over the e rendered as "ap�ritif" in my answers. Obviously that wasn't one of the choices and given that it was a match quiz, the one I chose should have been accepted.

Great, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Would you happen to remember anything about the quiz - the quiz name would be great, but even the category would be helpful.

What browser were you using andy?

That is indeed the quiz, Terry. I played it on Microsoft Edge using Windows 10. This morning I replayed he quiz on my work computer using Chrome and did not run into the same issue.
