My difficult daily challenge yesterday was to play any six tough or difficult 10-question quizzes in a row, scoring at least 8 correctly on each. Since my easy challenge was to score at least 7 correct on any Television quiz, I played a 10-question average quiz in that category first.

I then played five more tough/difficult 10-question quizzes and completed the challenge. Why would an average quiz count toward the requirements if the challenge specifically mentioned only tough or difficult quizzes? Is it because it was also 10 questions?

Since I have no idea about exactly what quizzes you played and I can see only what you see - the challenge was completed - I can't say anything about this.

If it's not simply that you played something else and didn't remember it, I could imagine that the quiz was on the cusp with regard to difficulty and that it might have counted because of that.

I have sen that before as well...perhaps the display is slow to update when on the cusp of two different rating classes?..and so it counts as difficult (or whatever is one up from average) even though it said otherwise

It has happened to me the other way around, too. I've played a quiz rated difficult only to find it's become average when I look at my progress. Luckily for my sanity, I think it's only occurred once.

Yesterday's Medium Daily Challenge was to play Team Heroes Game:

"Hope you've got a cape on you... to complete this challenge you must end today as one of your team's heroes in the Team Hero game. It does not matter how many players on your team play or score today."

I scored #12 spot yet the challenged showed as incomplete. I'm confused as to what the exact requirement is to be a "team hero".

The "Heroes" are the day's top scorers (top 7 in large teams, top 5 in small teams) in the Team Heroes game. So the challenge was for you to be in that top-7 (or top-5) at the end of the FT day.

I was lucky enough to get a White 3 flag Epic last week which I completed. Today I have purchased a challenge again and got an Epic again and been given the same Epic I won last week. Is the system not set so that when someone has a 3 flag it is not issued to them again?

It is not. People waiting on the last flag to complete them all in triplicate often complain of repeats. It seems to remain completely random and open to all 8 flags, though they seem to come in clumps a bit, with the same one often repeating for an individual player a few times in a row. I have nothing official on that just repeated observation.

I am also not sure if that would be time window based or incident based so it would be tough to advise purposely skipping purchases to try and "wait for the red flag to go dormant" for instance since:
A) the repeats could just be coincidence
B) even if there is a pattern...it may just pick back up right where it left off after a purchasing pause

Once again today I brought and Epic. Once again for the third time since the 20th November it is the 3 flag White. There are 5 other Epics I only have one flag of and one with 2.

There is no reward for completing this Epic except the points and the 3 extra Difficult challenges.

Yeah if it has to be an unwanted repeat, at least the white is not a total loss. It gives you a good chance to recoup some or all of the credits invested and maybe even "turn a profit" toward the next try.
