I've accumulated over 50,000 Melting Points, but haven't been awarded my badge or level rise. Can anyone explain this?

How long ago did you get there? This may be one of the badges that is only recognised at intervals, possibly at system maintenance or the next time the day rolls over.

I got there yesterday - I guess at the change of date to today. But it says in the Challenge List that it is awarded immediately upon completion. However, if it's just a case of waiting until tomorrow, then no worries.

Look at the list of past winners though; it awards once per day at 3:34 a.m FT time. You should have it in ten minutes.

Many badge texts are off on the award frequency.

The text saying awarded immediately on completion is a bit misleading - it means that it is automatic, and you don't have to do anything except wait. For some badges ,you need to return to the page to claim it.

That makes some sense but it is additionally confusing because some really did seem to award immediately. I just assumed ones like this were a result of cutbacks (so to speak) because the system started getting overwhelmed with running so many checks or something like that, and that Terry had just not updated the challenge text to match the changes.
