There's a Carpet Python hiding somewhere in this photo (click on the link). Can you find it?

Nope.

I don't know what a carpet Python looks like for starters. Plus, when I try to enlarge the photo to look closely it's blurry.

Ugh! Yes, I see it! And now I can't UnSee it!

It's in the lower right-hand corner, head facing East, partly in the concrete or whatever that is, and partly in the grass, kind of "snaking" in a little snakey loop.

I never step off the pavement, any pavement, and into grass, any grass, after living in SW Montana on a large ranch where we had to carry pistols with "snake load" wherever we went, and were always on the lookout for rattlesnakes. I also freaked over bull snakes. They're bigger, they look like rattlesnakes, but they aren't -- they just eat all of anything rattlesnakes eat so they run them out. One the size of a fire hose was lying across the highway one night, soaking up the heat. We couldn't get it to move to save our lives, so we just had to kind of drive up on the bank and around it.

That little darling was a female, and one fun day, she had babies in that very field, just south of my house! About 200 babies. My barn kitties had a literal field day with those things, flipping them in the air, eating them, leaving them on the steps and porch for me... Blergh!

God, I hate snakes!

That's it, right? It's right where I see it?

And you know... it does look like there's one in that little cart, too. How many snakes are in that photo??

I definitely see the one I see. I may not be seeing its head, though. Its head may be heading north in that little cement block wall thingy.

Did you take that photo??

Sorry Blackdresss, but the snake isn't in the front of the photo. Try looking towards the back of the photo along the tops of the fences.

Thanks, Tryst, for this webpage with a much clearer picture.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Well, now I don't see snakes everywhere, which is the good news.

The only thing I see in the back of the photo along the tops of anything is something not quite the right color (green) kind of hanging from that foliage in the upper right corner.

Eek, that's not it, is it?

I've never seen a python "in the flesh," and I'd like to keep it that way. Is your python kind of small, as far as pythons go?

Hooray, Blackdresss finally found the snake! This is not my backyard, it's somewhere in Queensland. I can't say I've ever found a snake in my garden, though I wouldn't mind having one as a pet. The average length for a Carpet python is two metres. Australia's largest snake is the Scrub python, which can grow up to eight metres.

Found another good 'spot the hidden animal' photo. Have a look at this one and see if you can find the deadly Reef Stonefish hiding among the rocks and coral.
